Pros: Great location and nice comfortable rooms. Cons: Could use a little remodeling and the health club was too small.
On my last trip to Palm Springs, we were a little late to book our room reservations for a business convention. Luckily enough, I was able to book two rooms at the Hyatt Regency Suites on Palm Canyon Drive. I didn't know what to expect since I had...
Pros: Nice room, nice staff, great location Cons: Some rooms facing somewhat noisy street, jacuzzi not that hot(literally)
A previous review of this hotel exists but it was written from a business travelers point of view. My stay in Palm Springs was purely for leisure so, though I may rehash some topics covered in the earlier review, hopefully I can add a point or two...
Pros: All suite hotel, full service pool bar, proximity to downtown shops and restaurants. Cons: Pool needs more frequent cleaning, rooms could use a bit of an update.
I wanted to note first off that I've written this review from a 'fun weekend getaway' standpoint--as ...
Pros: large suites Cons: center of downtown - loud and not relaxing
This hotel is not a resort. It's at "ground zero" in downtown Palm Springs, surrounded by storefronts and traffic. It's a good pick if you must have a suite - say, for kids that you want in a separate room. But if you want any sort of...
hotel is awaiting it's remodel by sj14505 ,Jun 03 '05
Pros: Location, right in the middle of the Palm Canyon Shopping area. Cons: Old decor, very crowded pool area on holiday's
I stayed here over memorial day weekend. All the staff are very friendly and housekeeping keeps the hotel clean. The main problem here is that the hotel itself is in need of a remodel. the furniture in the rooms is very dated. Outside the hotel you can see tiles missing from the facade, cracks and patches in the pool area, etc. Some rooms, the furniture is in bad shape, curtains need replacing.
Hotel staff said they are scheduled to remodel the hotel soon (also, the Mall adjacent to the Hyatt is due to be leveled and rebuilt as shops and condo's).
Pros: Big rooms. Low price Cons: Beds old, carpet stained, no kleenex
I found this hotel through priceline. It was a four star hotel according to priceline. The staff was very courteous and helpful. All of the rooms are suites which is nice. We had a pool view with a balcony. Location is good. Didn't know they had a hot tub/whirlpool until just now reading reviews... It isn't by the pool.
Pros: Location, location, location!!! Cons: TRAIN WRECK! Filthy property that needs some attention!
This hotel is so outdated that it still has the original beds in it from the days of the Reagan presidency! The carpet is stained, god forbid you see the stained mattress.
The garage is filthy, people just dump trash everywhere. The solar film is peeling off the windows, tile is falling off the front of the restaurant and balconies. Management obviously doesn't care. (I expressed my concerns to the Dayna, the GM and she suggested that I stay somewhere else next time.)
The restaurant in the lobby has a very old fashioned menu and serves frozen meat and vegetables from it's circa 1986 dining room that still has the same chairs!
By all means, avoid this hotel until someone takes charge has an interest in the property. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Hyatt name. I think that even Motel 6 would pass on this one!
