Paradise Point provides plenty of possibilities for pups and post puberty people

by pdrmike , Jun 07 '03
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: Expensive, shows some wear
Ahh, alliteration. One may not think it is necessary for a resort, but I beg to differ. Well, I guess not for any resort, just this one. About 30 years ago, my family started taking yearly vacations to this resort, which was then called Vacation...

Paradise Point Resort, San Diego

by juliemeyers , May 30 '03
Pros: Beautiful grounds, efficient staff
Cons: showing it's age, overpriced restaurants/bar difficult to use rooms showing age
I recently returned from San Diego where, with 40 family members attending, I was married. I live in Minneapolis, so it was important to me to find a nice hotel for family and friends who where traveling to be at our wedding. The rates available...

Paradise Point Resort and Spa - Nice Hotel

by turtlefit18 , Apr 29 '09
Pros: Five pools, Great location, Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive parking charge, car is required to get anywhere
I recently stayed at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa for a four-day vacation.  Getting here from the airport was very easy, provided you rent a car.  The hotel is very near Sea World and has very easy access to the freeways.  I checked ...

Paradise Point - Mission Bay, San Diego

by coreneseaver , Jan 15 '04
Pros: Beautiful landscaping. Close to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo.
Cons: Not a luxurious room. Be prepared that it's just a room showing some age.
We live in Central California and wanted a "quick" vacation so opted for Paradise Point because Expedia.com gave us a great deal that included tickets to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. I wasn't impressed with the rooms which are basically individual ...

Great for families

by art4hire , May 27 '04
Pros: Apartment like rooms, nice pool, great for children.
Cons: Ugly beach, non-existent staff
In the never ending search for parents with small children to find a vacation worth getting everyone on a plane for, there is Paradise Point in San Diego. One aspect I always look for when traveling with my children is the ease of the ...

An Exotic Escape Only Minutes from Downtown San Diego

by shanejayhayes , Feb 20 '06
Pros: Great Spa, Great Facilities, Great Food, Convenient to Downtown, Well Appointed Rooms
Cons: Very Large Property, Some Rooms are Older, Lack of Privacy on Beaches
Paradise Resort and Spa is located only minutes from Downtown San Diego yet it feels a world away. Driving onto the property brings images of Disneyland or Jurassic park to mind. The lushly landscaped tropical grounds immediately grab your attention ...

Paradise point

by daveilha , Aug 11 '06
Pros: Kid friendly. Rooms are like cottages.
Cons: Need updating. Check in at 5:30 pm?
Paradise Point is located near Sea World in San Diego. We stayed in a 500 sq. ft. cottage type room with a patio. Check in: The check in was poorly managed. We arrived at 3 pm and had to wait more than two hours to check in. It was pretty ...

Great family resort

by aweiner , Mar 30 '08
Pros: Multiple pools and a beach. Boating and biking rentals on property.
Cons: Limited dining options on property. Some rooms face the parking lot.
We had a terrific vacation in San Diego at the Paradise Point resort. Perfectly located on San Diego's Mission Bay, the resort has several pools as well as a beach. We spent a week here and enjoyed several days swimming, at a different pool each day. ...

not a fun family vacation
by icanipod ,Jan 25 '09
Pros: non
Cons: a better question to ask is what's not wrong with it. it's a shorter list
ahh, what to say about that place. well first we had a ton of trouble finding the location from the map got on their website. we had to go through a really bad part of town to get there. then it took one and a half hours to get checked. when you got to our room there was the this huge, carpet dryer because the room had been flooded which the front desk lady failed to mention. so we go back to the front desk and get a new room which takes 2 more hours. so we get a new room and we get there but it's not the suite our previous room was and we still had to pay for a suite. this room also smelled like wet paint. we thought just forget it. they also failed to tell us that. and the pull out bed i slept on creaked any time you moved. and the springs were really noticible in the matress. don't waste your time with the so called "paradise" point.

Shabby and Dirty
by orsonfan ,Aug 17 '05
Pros: Near Sea World.
Cons: Bad maintenance, poor service.
When we got to the bathroom, well...if a crime had taken place there, CSI would have had plenty of material to work with. Paradise Point must have been a nice place once, but management must figure that they can let it go to seed. With Sea World nearby, they can get business no matter how lousy the service and maintenance,
