EXCELLENT CHOICE!!!
The beds are so comfortable you never want to get up. They have a nice bar, a little stuffy for my taste, but I love this hotel. The rooms vary greatly here. They have some rooms on the upper levels with nice city views. They also have some rooms that have a "L" configuration that give you more privacy. I always hate that when one person wants to stay up and watch TV and the other wants to sleep. (These are the rooms you want). The hotel staff went way out of their way to be accommodating.

Pros: A bed you won't want to get out of, fabulously designed rooms.

The Clift Hotel is a wonderful boutique property with a great location in San Francisco. The rooms are gorgeous, although a bit small, which lends to the romantic, exotic feel. The staff was responsive to all requests, and the bar had a great scene, especially on the weekends. Stay away from the huge tourist hotels, and enjoy the comfy beds and the ambiance of the Clift - you won't forget it.
