Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa is Unbelievably Disappointing

Pros: good restaurant in lobby, nice toiletries, nice pool, terrific television set in room
Cons: horrible staff, charges for virtually everything, lack of air conditioning

Business hotel ... but fun

Pros: Attractive building, outstanding pool, convenient to NYC trains
Cons: Boring location
The best value of a Marriott is that you know pretty much what you'll get -- a well-run, well-decorated hotel that's accommodating to business travelers. It's a dependable brand name.
