Pros: Ocean view room, beautiful grounds
Cons: Rooms in the main building are noisy due to bar below

Summary: We stayed in a renovated oceanfront king room. I think that the renovated rooms are only in the main building. Staying in one of the other buildings would be preferable. The first room they gave us was right above the bar. The band below is extremely ... read more

Pros: Atlantic Edge restaurant. Great breakfast buffet. Saltwater lagoon. Beautiful grounds. Outstanding service.
Cons: At low tide beach a little smelly

Summary: Whoever landscaped the resort is a genius. Best service we have ever encountered. So quiet we thought we were the only guests. We go down to the keys every few years but have never stayed at Cheeca Lodge. This will be the ONLY place we will stay in next ... read more

Cons: Three of the four Jacuzzis broken during renovation.

Pros: A tropical escape paradise with nice atmosphere
Cons: Only 1 small pool; you couldn't go into the ocean from the beach

Summary: Cheeca Lodge is a lushly landscaped resort by the Atlantic Ocean in the Florida Keys (Islamorada to be exact). The lobby was comfortable and our room was a garden suite with a small verandah, a spacious bathroom, a casually elegant sitting room, and a ... read more

Pros: roomy family suites nicely laid out grounds excellent restaurant very friendly staff wonderful spa
Cons: one-star housekeeping moody elevator limited wade-in beach access gravely sand beach

Summary: Overall this property met all of our expectations. I docked it for very poor housekeeping and for it not having a beach with sand that was more playable (a Keys thing). We had a total of 6 people in our party including 2 1/2 year old twins, 1 year old ... read more

Pros: It's the nicest resort in the area. The Tiki Bar and dock are the highlights.
Cons: The hotel grounds and staff were not up-to-par for $500 a night.

Summary: My husband and I spent three nights at The Cheeca Lodge on Islamorada Key. Overall it was a pleasant mini vacation but we did experience some 'irritants', such as: We were charged for mini bar items that we did not use (so check your bill, they did
