Pros: Outstanding service. Downtown location. Great conference facilities. Cons: Small double-rooms. Long wait for elevators if hotel is full.
I recently attended a 4-day conference held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Atlanta. While I did not sleep here, others in my party *did* have rooms here, so I spent a lot of time in their room, as well as the rest of the hotel. The Hyatt Regency ...
Pros: Great convention space, Wireless Internet, Wonderful staff Cons: Mixed quality towels, guest room carpeting rough on tender feet.
I was at the Hyatt Regency for a work confrence and overall was pleased. Before I got there Researvations were handled thru the convention site and easily changed directly with the hyatt. Their pre-arrival online information gave me ...
Pros: Downtown location, if that's where you need to be. Comfortable beds. Cons: Ivy Tower rooms. Crime. Indifferent staff.
This review is based on 2 separate 1 night stays during the summer of 2005. Location With three Hyatts in the Atlanta area, this is the only one downtown. Its set-up as a business hotel and I can tell you that if ...
Pros: reasonable rates for a downtown hotel, close to shops and restaurants Cons: a bit faded and dated
I had to stay in downtown Atlanta fairly recently on business. On a whim, and because the room rate was comparatively reasonable, I stayed in the Hyatt Regency. This was a bit of a speculation. All of the really trendy hotels are being built in Buckhead...
Pros: FANTASTIC location on Peachtree near tons of restaurants and convention areas. Cons: Not QUITE as nice as the Marriott Marquis across the street.
I go to Atlanta a fair bit for business. Whenever I'm there I try to stay at the Marriott Marquis directly across the street from the Hyatt (partly because I'm a Marriott rewards member, partly because it's a beautiful hotel.)
Pleasant hotel with efficient staff, 1980's retro chic by goblue1954 ,Nov 23 '05
Pros: The staff and the coffee bar. Good business facilities. Location, Location, Location. Cons: Not very trendy or chic, and certainly not high-end luxury. But comfortable
The most redeeming quality about this hotel is the staff. Everyone that I interacted with was professional and went out of their way to make me feel like a VIP. My room in the international tower was a standard 250 - 300 square foot business class hotel room. They made a big point about it being a corner upgrade, but to be honest, it could have been bigger. One plus is that if you are a traveling businessperson and can't stand hotel food you can go into Peachtree Center for things like gyros and New York's Orange Julius. By the way, despite horror stories about Atlanta traffic, I made it to the airport from this hotel during rush hour in 20 minutes.
