Beau Rivage - Whatever that means

by vpenn , Nov 03 '01
Pros: As close to Las Vegas as Mississippi will ever be
Cons: It still isn't Vegas
My experience with the Beau Rivage is mainly with the casino area, shows, buffets, and restaurants. I haven't been to the rooms.

The BR is available on the web at their site beaurivage.com where you can make reservations and purchase show tix....

Beau Rivage - Still can't believe it's in Mississippi

by dwest2314 , Mar 14 '02
Pros: Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, great spa and all the good games
Cons: Restaurants on site only average in quality but premium in price.

2 Star Standards at 4 Star Prices
by noirin ,May 26 '07
Pros: Good Location
Cons: Old, Run-down, Smelly
As soon as I entered the lobby, I knew I had made a mistake. It looks like it was decorated in the late 60's or early 70's. It was an extremely depressing experience. I am sure that it was a fancy hotel in the 1970's, but it is very worn. The carpets were old and dirty, but the worst thing was the musty smell. I tried to turn off the air conditioning and just open the window, but couldn't shut off the A/C. I did manage to open the window, but it was very dangerous for kids because the window is very low. Of course we had to put up with the street noise, but it was better than the unbearable smell from the A/C. There was a patch of moldy plaster over the bed. The bathroom was very old, and the TV was a 15". I can't say enough bad things about this hotel. The Sheraton Copley Square is a palace compared to this! From others reviews I gather that some of the rooms are renovated, but I can't imagine that the smell would be any different.
