While I normally prefer to pamper myself at 5 star hotels, I spent a weekend at the Westin at Times Square last week. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Broadway so if you are a theatre goer, you can't get any closer than the Westin.

This is a brand new hotel, so the rooms are clean, comfortable and contemporary. We were upgraded to a junior suite with a spacious sitting area and 2 flat screen TVs. My only complaint was the spartan bathroom which featured a tiny stainless steel sink with very narrow counter space. The sink resembled one you would find on a commercial airplane, so I had to keep my toiletries on a rolling cart they provide.

The upgrade included club-floor services of evening hors d'oeuvres and free breakfast which made my $259/night stay a very good deal. Overall, the staff and service was very good, the location excellent and it was a good deal for the money.
