  • Thank You, Westin Times Square, for a Magical Night in the Big Apple.

    May 15 '07
Pros: Most amazing view imaginable, free upgrade, friendly staff, awesome location.
Cons: I've had better beds, but eh.

Summary: I never know what I’m going to end up with via a Hotwire booking, but I don’t typically expect to end up with a deluxe 45th floor room regularly priced at $500+, overlooking beautiful New York City. Sometimes one just gets lucky with blind ...

  • Wants to be the W--and isn't a bad imitation

    Jul 29 '09
Pros: Comfortable, clean, conveniently located, modern
Cons: Pay for Internet, hard to find lobby, low lighting in lobby

Summary: I recently spent one night in the Westin New York at Times Square for business, as well as a day of meetings in their convention area. I'm always a bit wary of Manhattan hotels, and especially the ones in tourist-heavy areas of the city. Fortunately, the ...

  • A Solid Choice for the Big Apple

    Jul 11 '09
Pros: Well-run and convenient to Times Square attractions.
Cons: I wish they didn't charge for Wifi access.

Summary: I stay at this hotel about 5-7 nights a year for work and overall, I'm very pleased with the facility and the staff.  The rooms are New York-sized, which means there's slightly less walking space in between the furniture, but otherwise, they're very ...

  • The Best Week of My Life! The Westin New York at Times Square!

    Aug 30 '08
Pros: Walking distance to Times Square, over 40 theaters nearby!
Cons: New York Prices, that is all!

Summary: A recent change in my employment allowed me to take Mrs. Duckling on a business trip to New York City, and being in marketing of the performing arts, the convention took place in Times Square, close to Broadway, off-Broadway, and the business of ...

  • Westin at Times Square Offers Comfort, Convenience for New York Visitors

    Jun 24 '08
Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, subway access, lots of shopping.
Cons: A little noisy, slightly tight squeeze in room.

Summary: Not everything in Manhattan is as big in person as it looks on television or the Internet, and the Westin at Times Square is no exception. But the 30 plus-story hotel is certainly as tall as you might expect, and even on brilliantly lighted 42nd ...

  • Close to Everything

    Sep 08 '07
    Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Parking, hotel bar is overpriced and unimpressive

Summary: My wife and I try to get to NYC at least once a year, and typically we stay at the Westin Times Square. There are several reasons why we opt for the Westin as opposed to many of the other choices. Location This hotel is in one of the best ...

  • My Preferred NY Office Away From Home

    May 30 '07
Pros: Good service, Reliable quality, Good rooms and beds. Business friendly.
Cons: It's not a quirky, romantic boutique hotel.

Summary: I try to stay at the Westin Times Square every time I travel to NY for business, and this review is written from the corporate traveler perspective. On each stay I receive the fairly high (corporate-chain) standard of service, room quality, hotel ...

  • Great hotel, awesome location

    May 21 '07
Pros: Location, Location, Location - Price - Great Value
    Cons: None

Summary: My wife and I just returned from 4 days in NYC and we stayed at the Westin Times Square. I'd read about the poor staff, but I can attest to the utmost of service and courtesy given to us from the minute we walked on the premises. A 45 storey glass tower, ...

  • Westin Times Square: Excellent Locale, Beautiful View!

    May 19 '07
Pros: Beautiful view, modern decor, excellent location, clean, wonderful room
Cons: Costly if you don't get a good deal on hotwire or some other discount site

Summary: For the past nine days, chelledun and I have been on a trek across the east coast. One of the highlights of the trip was getting to show Michelle around on her very first trip to the Big Apple. As first trips go, she was a very lucky girl because few ...

    Jul 14 '06
Pros: Location, got a great rate, Heavenly Bed/Bath
Cons: Standard NYC stuff - loud & pricey (at list rates)

  • Private club feel on Park Ave

    May 09 '01
Pros: Stylish, unpretentious, and relaxing club-like feel
Cons: hard to book, since it is small

Summary: I love this hotel! The rooms are spacious and quiet, and the hotel sits right on Park Ave in the Murray Hill neighborhood of New York (around the corner from the ultra trendy W court-tuscany). Try the sheraton.com site for discounts especially on...

  • New York's Best Small Hotel

Pros: Small, gracious, civilized, great location.
Cons: Limited food and beverage services; rooms rarely discounted.

Summary: I have a lot of accommodation options when I visit New York, from staying with friends to getting a room at my alumni club. The Sheraton Russell is one of my two favorite places to stay whenever possible (the other is the Helmsley Park Lane). Here's...

  • Small, nice, comfortable

    Oct 16 '00
Pros: Great location, Nice rooms, comforable, FRIENDLY
Cons: pricey (you pay for what you get)

Summary: Park Avenue. What a nice place to stay.

This hotel may be on Murray Hill, but the location is unmistakebly conveient, grand central is within walking distance and so is the major subway lines.

Talk about service. The reception staff...

  • Contemporary, convenient and efficient.

    Feb 06 '07
Pros: Close to Broadway and restaurants, clean comfortable rooms.Good value for the money.
Cons: Not very luxurious, but a great deal for the money.

Summary: While I normally prefer to pamper myself at 5 star hotels, I spent a weekend at the Westin at Times Square last week. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Broadway so if you are a theatre goer, you can't get any closer than the Westin.
