Pros: Great location, close to shopping, convention centers and the mountains Cons: View of the parking lot (smelled like sewage) & located far from the main lobby
I stayed at the Little America for 4 days/3 nights for a business trip recently.View:The view from outside the hotel is lovely, mountains from side to side. But the view from my room was unfortunate, just of a parking lot. ...
Pros: Affordable, friendly staff, large room with comfortable bed Cons: No airport transportation, dated
We recently spent a weekend at the Little America hotel in Salt Lake City while in town to celebrate a wedding. The hotel was conveniently located for the downtown reception, and affordably priced at $140 per night for a king suite. One significant ...
Pros: Great restaurants, downtown location, nice rooms Cons: Road construction around area
Little America is a great hotel for fun, luxury and location. In the heart of downtown Salt Lake, it is near the Mormom Temple, the capital, theatres, malls, ice skating and other activities. If you are looking for a nice place to stay surrounded by...
While visiting Downtown Salt Lake City last year my mom and I decided to try a new hotel: The Little America. Let me tell you, there is no better definition of luxury. Everything from the lobby to the rooms was so luxurious that we could hardly believe...
Pros: Large, luxurious, very reasonably priced Cons: Often fully booked and crowded
I discovered Salt Lake's Little America Hotel a couple of summers ago when I spent 6 weeks driving across country, staying wherever I was when I got tired. One day, I was driving from Cheyenne to Salt Lake when I began to notice many large billboards...
Pros: Large rooms, large bathrooms Cons: Wish there were more
I've stayed at Little America in Salt Lake City twice (October 1999 and October 2000) and love the place. The Tower rooms are large -- more like suites. The sheets are 100% cotton and ironed! The staff is honest, efficient, and very courteous. ...
Pros: Room quality, location, food, staff. Cons: That we are still in Utah!
We live about 30 minutes from downtown SLC and when we stay at Little America we feel like we are somewhere other than Utah! The rooms are beautiful and a balcony is a must! The bathrooms are all marble and the tubs are huge! We always feel so pampered when we stay here. They have two pools.. one for the towers and one for the garden rooms, so you are never far from one. The parking is underground and close. The food is fabulous, especially the Sunday brunch! Very friendly staff throughout the whole property. There are a variety of gift shops and a expresso bar. We really like the private club. We continue to stay at Little America and love it every time!
Very Nice Hotel for the price! by dawn65 ,Dec 03 '05
Pros: Beautiful place in downtown SLC Cons: BEWARE of metal screws in womens sauna room (trying not to sound nasty?)
We stayed at Little America SLC downtown, and we were very pleased with the rooms and room choices. Though, I have to say BEWARE of the hot metal screw heads that are seat level in the wood sauna room in the womens locker room. Both my daughter and I sat down at the same time and jumped up immediately screaming OUCH! The screws were 350 degrees, I had a red mark. But what is so odd is that it looks like it has been like this for a very long time. I am positive I am not the first one to get burned, even if you put a hand down you get burned! Plus, there is NO SIGN warning you about this! SO, if you go there and the screws are still in the sauna, tell them you know that someone else complained. The front desk clerk didn't seem too bothered by my experience. I will send in a comment card too. Other than that I would go back, the indoor/outdoor pool is a lot of fun. Also, would recommend the Red Rock Brewery, good beer and onion rings, con:small tables!
