Pros: Gorgeous place and nice staff Cons: Confusing maze of a casino - get me back to my room, quick
I love the beauty, but they mess with your head in the casino. Do you like mazes, then you'd love this casino. It must have been intentionally planned to confuse you on the casino floor. I am a gambler - I love it - I am not a looker and a walker and...

We just returned from Mandalay and we're glad to be home. Mandalay has just one redeeming feature, it's pool. Other than that, it's a Motel 6 in a golden cloak. The public areas are very nice. The rooms are no where near what they should be for a...
Pros: People-watching Cons: Snobbish in the extreme
Who are “they”? Why the beautiful people of course. If you’re not one of them or the type of person who supports the distinction between us and them then don’t support the Mandalay Bay Hotel. By support I mean eat, gamble or spend any of your hard earned...
Pros: Beautiful and sexy- a Vegas bombshell Cons: Shrieking parrots

Pros: Beautiful Cons: Just opened, on the expensive side

The Mandalay Bay is, in my opinion, the second best hotel/casino in Las Vegas (just behind the Bellagio). I did not expect the Mandalay Bay to be that nice when I arrived there. However, I was very pleasantly surprised.
Pros: Pool, dining Cons: Location, mediocre service, crowded pool area

Rooms: Beautiful and comfortable.
Food : Plenty of Choices, all very overpriced; even compared to New York prices, where we come from. ( for example: $47 for sushi/sashimi combo., or $15 for a sangria!)
Pool: Shared with Mandalay Bay resort. Very long walk! Too small to accommodate both hotels. Good luck finding a chair after 9:00am. The Hotel should have its' own pool.
Parking: Plenty. Good Valet service.
Mandalay Bay- A great destination and hotel by avalonandl ,Jan 22 '08
Pros: Clean, great service, great choice of food at restaurants. Well appointed, spa , beach, bars. Cons: Location-south end of strip. No coffeemakers in room, expensive.
I have stayed here twice for the SEMA convention and love this place. Cheap? NO, but seems to be well worth it. Great restaurants, Aureole, Fleur de Lys, others. Clean, not trashy like many others. I stay in the suite with my wife both times and loved it. The suite was modern but not well lighted, specifically dim around the conference table. In room Jacuzzi is great after walking for hours at the SEMA show. Hotel is clean and has good service. No coffeemakers in the rooms, come on room service for everything? But you can get good wine at the gift shop. I do not like Raffles, the restaurant that is open after 11 pm. They need to upgrade that place. The overall feel is of an upscale hotel. It is not cheap but I like the place.
I recently went back to Mandalay Bay. I had not been there for 6 years. I found it amazing and beautiful on my first visit. On my recent visit, the wear and tear of the past 6 years were evident. I brought my mother on this trip and had went on and on how nice Mandalay Bay was. I was very disappointed that she did not get to see the property as it was 6 years earlier. The bathroom was still nice, but the hotel room was worn and the waterpark was dirty.
Pros: rooms, service, pools, restaurants, location Cons: not cheap
Staying at THE hotel at Mandalay Bay is an absolute ecstasy of class and refinement. From the perfectly appointed rooms to the highest caliber staff, this place has its mackin' crackin'.
The rooms are so nice in fact that we were inclined to ask staff about some of the items like the beds and linens only to find out that we couldn't afford them. The bathrooms are ornate with beautiful fixtures and expansive high-quality marble. The three TVs are excellent (one flat LCD in the bathroom.) The design elements are both current and classic with many earth tones.
This is the ideal spot for a romantic getaway. For us, it was extravagant to stay here but we didn't regret it. Our modest budget inclined us to stay here and play elsewhere.
Come during the week and save.
Pros: Good restaurants Cons: Just about everything else
We had heard so many things about this hotel and man were we disappointed. Our first room had dirty linen on the bed. Our next room was disgusting! Stained rugs, broken curtains that wouldn't close properly and frayed rugs. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pools are a joke. Loaded with noisy kids, overcrowded. Many chaise lounges were broken. The pool area was filthy! Garbage and wet towels everywhere! The staff was also very unfriendly. If you want luxury and service then stay somewhere else!
Pros: Beach/pool; new beautiful suites at The Hotel (part of Mandeley Bay); price
Cons: grumpy staff - indifferent to the guest
I'm a frequent guest of this hotel and after this last trip, I don't think I'll be back. We've always enjoyed our stay in the past, and the facilities are wonderful, however, out of the 50 or so staff members we encountered during the stay, only two made us feel welcomed. When we asked for a survey/comment card, the front desk replied "sorry, we are out of them". I hope they get better, because we'll miss the beach!
