Pros: Comfortable rooms and big casino. Cons: Extremely bad customer service...
Beginning of this month (April 2006), I had to go to Reno for software training for one of our customers. The training was held at the Atlantis Hotel Resort in one of their paradise suites. Since my company was going to take ...
Pros: Very nice for the price. Cons: Had to call more than once for maintenance.
In January 2001, I went to Reno for a weekend getaway vacation. I made reservations for the flight, the rental car and the hotel all over the internet (which I love). It was my first trip to Reno as an adult, and I was looking forward to the chance to...
Pros: It's a dry place to sleep, Valet service is excellent. Cons: Reservation mistakes. Unaccommodating, arrogant, and rude reception desk attendants and Manager. Mediocre room at best.
For me, the hotel can set the mood for the entire vacation, fortunately this one was only a few days!
My wife had called for the reservation for Aug 17. They had rooms available, no problem, at $85/night. She double checked to make sure it...
Pros: Wide spread of casino games, player-friendly limits Cons: Not much for a family to do, not in the center of town
I have one thing to confess; I'm a low-stakes casino player. I like poker, but don't like to buy in to a $10-20 game for $400. Similarly, I like craps, but the idea of $10 pass-line bets makes me a little nervous. Not that I haven't done both, but I like...
Pros: Nice, large rooms at a good price. Cons: A little too far out of town. Service was not too good.
At the time that I made the trip to Reno and stayed at the Atlantis, I was living in Sacramento, California. It was a relatively short and easy trip to Reno, and I made the journey a few times, staying at Circus Circus on these previous occasions. In...
Pros: Nice decor; convenient freeway access; generous slot club. Cons: Not within walking distance of other casinos.
The first thing one must understand about the various hotel/casinos in Reno (if you've not visited Reno before) is that there are two main groups of casinos: (1) the "downtown" casinos; and (2) the "outlying" casinos.
Pros: Always some action Cons: Not much for younger kids
I moved to Reno in January of 2000 and while i was there i had the chance to stay at the Atlantis and the Reno Hilton. I cam to the conclusion that the Atlantis is my all time favorite Hotel/Casino in Reno. The rooms are god sized and a good price....
Pros: Absolutely wonderful large rooms Cons: Hard to get a drink if you are playing.
We stayed in a tower room at the Atlantis. The room was huge compared to others in Reno. It had a wonderful King sized bed, sitting area and a beautiful marble bathroom. We felt spoiled.
The casino wasn't too bad, we didn't expect to win...
I stayed at the Atlantis earlier this year. We were put in a room in the motor lodge section. It was cold while we were there. To get to the room, we had to leave the main building and walk to the motor lodge. The room was clean but very...
Stay away from motor lodge section by sunnydazensb ,Jul 04 '07
Pros: Tower rooms, good buffet Cons: motor lodge rooms, not worth even the low price
We booked two rooms, two nights at the motor lodge, a week apart. Arriving after midnight, tired from a long flight, we found the rooms smelly and the bedding reservations incorrect. It is a long walk back to the desk and while we were given a roll-away for one of the rooms we were not treated well at all.
However, when we arrived back for our second stay, we were upgraded to a tower room. These rooms were very nice. We enjoyed the buffet, the pool area and the casino, even though we didn't win.
Other than that we went to downtown Reno and walked the Riverwalk and shopped the downtown stores. Nice clean city area and interesting shops.
BEST BUFFETT IN RENO It is also 2 for 1 if you have your players card tuesday and thursday morning until 1030am. Beautiful casino, great rooms, and concierge level is cool (if you gamble a lot youll get it free, if you have to pay more than $20 a night extra for it don't bother)Comp program is top notch. Casino as far as luck goes is so-so. Drink service is spotty, as is overall customer service, its on/off. Tournaments always great fun. Location is not real great unless you have a car or plan to stay there the entire time though.
