Pros: atmosphere, themed pool, kids loved it Cons: a bad room location means a long walk
Disney's Caribbean Beach resort is a "moderate" resort that is a treat to stay at. The openness, colors, and white sand beaches give off a very un-crowded feeling. Since it was just closed down completely for an extensive rehabilitation, staying here ...

I stayed at this resort during the month of October. The rooms were certainly nice enough, and I liked the fact that all rooms had "outside" doors. In other words, it had a very different feel from an "indoor" hotel - I FELT...

Pros: Beautiful outside grounds, decent food court, convenient transportation to parks Cons: Rooms were filthy and smelled bad, front desk unresponsive, busses often late 30 minutes

Pros: Nice People at Guest Relations, Decent Landscaping Cons: Terrible looking curbs, sidewalks, disgusting rooms, price, not "Disney Quality"

We visited in May of 2000. We LOVED the Caribbean Beach. If you have children this would be the resort to choose. The main pool has a slide and water canons but if the main pool is crowded each "village" has their own pool. We always found...

Pros: Caribbean theme, pool at each resort, friendly staff, peaceful setting.
Cons: none
We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort in January 1999. I did a lot of research before planning this trip, and decided on this resort because of the price and the bigger room size. We stayed in the Trinidad South part of the resort, which is farthest...
The Caribbean Beach Resort is the farthest from the Magic Kingdom with the poorest transportation alternatives. Most of the Disney Resorts offer a choice of 2 or 3 alternatives for transportation to all parks. However, The Caribbean Beach Resort only...
Pros: peaceful and lots of scenery! Cons: costs a lot
This place is magnificent! You don't have to actually travel to a Carribean island to feel as if you are on one! The colors are magnificent, there are lots of palm trees, and there are beaches everywhere! In the main pavillion, there are shops, and...
Pros: Nice scenery Cons: Terrible food, cheap looking rooms, and everything is spread too far apart.
We just got back from the Caribbean and were completely disappointed with it. For the money that we spent on our room we expected it to be a much cleaner and modern room. Everything in the room was outdated by 10-15 years. We had the pleasure of...
Pros: paths along the lake, tropical plants, main pool, buses Cons: food court and restaurant, not being able to reserve a particular village

Pros: Heated Pools, Laundry, Restaurants Cons: Small rooms
I was the only one in our travel group who had not been to Disney World - I was a bit worried that we were staying at a moderately priced resort, because friends of ours had just returned from staying at the Floridian.
Our family of 2 adults, 3kids and 1 Papa stay there in June2000 I have to say it was the best vacation we have ever had and possibly will ever have...The resort was wonderful. We stayed for a week and many times we stayed at the resort and did not go to...
Pros: Nice location in Disney, Old Port Royale food court and arcade. Cons: None really, we got a good value on our room. Thunderstorms once a day.
Well this last summer my family went to Disneyworld for vacation, and overall Disneyworld was way better than I thought it would be. The Caribbean Beach resort was one of their middle-of-the-road resorts, and it was very well kept-up and a good stay...
Pros: Location, pools, scenery, grounds, staff and value. Cons: Food court, some uninspiring villages and expensive gift shops.
Because the Caribbean Beach Resort is such a sprawling property, the location of your village and building are vital since all rooms are identical in size and furnishings. Pay the extra fee for a lake or pool view room; the location and view from some of...
Pros: Price, in Disney World Cons: not clean, long walk to food court
While our overall Disney experience was, as usual, wonderful--the Caribbean Beach Resort was not. We were in building 15 which is quite a distance from the restaurant area and from a bus station. I wore white socks to sleep in and after walking on the...
The Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Disney's moderate resorts. The use of the word moderate really just means you have to walk a little more from your room to the lobby and that you are not as close to the parks. Other than that, the quality of the...
Pros: Disney service, nice theme, beautiful landscaping Cons: too big! the buildings are way to far apart
Of all the moderately-priced Disney resorts, this is probably my least favorite, but because it's still Disney, the service is still wonderful and the theme is fun.
The resort is split into several sections, each named for different Caribbean...
Pros: cost, accomodations & convenience Cons: not enough rooms available

Pros: Beautiful, quiet, moderately priced Cons: You may be far from the food court or bus
After a long day in the Disney Parks, there is nothing better then taking a bus back to the Caribbean Beach Resort, entering your air-conditioned room and taking a load off. I have been to Disney World about 8 times and 4 of those times, I stayed at ...
Pros: The grounds were ok. Cons: Bad service and filthy room! Out dated!
We just got back from the resort. It was a very, very, very, bad experience! The room was filthy! They did not clean our room at all. All the maid did was make the bed, replace the towels, and dump the trash (except on one day she didn't even dump the...
Pros: Great place to Stay! Cons: Very,Very Expensive! Did I mention how Expensive everything was at Disney?!!!
The Disney Caribbean Beach Resort was a very nice place to stay.Quiet, peaceful, and a great pool bar called the 'Banana Cabana'.....We started out our trip by taking a shuttle from Orlando Airport. It took 2 hours with all the pickups they had to do before...
Pros: Nothing, there are better on-site and off-site hotels. Cons: Long bus rides. Distance to main lobby.
I feel bad writing this review, but we had a horrible experience at Disney’s Caribbean Resort on our honeymoon. That first night we killed a roach in the bathroom. Not the best way to set the mood for the honeymoon. As in a motel, the rooms open ...
Pros: nice walk to get to food court, view of the white sand beach, Cons: We had to ask for more towels and tissues .
My mother, sister and myself stayed at The Caribbean Beach from July 11 to 16,2002.We had a wonderful time. Our room was in Aruba #55.We had a short walk to get to the beach-about 2 minutes. The food court was about a 5 minute walk around the scenic lake....
Pros: Nice theme, great pools, pleasant surroundings Cons: house cleaning time in-consistent, food court closing time needs to be expanded
My family recently spent 10 nights at CB. Although this is one of Disneys older properties, this hotel has everything you expect from Disney. I previously stayed at Dixielandings & CoronadoSprings, and would compare CB favorably to those 2.
Pros: Reasonably Priced and some interesting architecture Cons: Showing it's age - not the best value
Caribbean Beach Resort was Disney's first effort at a "moderate" prices resort. (In fact, was the "economy resort" in it's early years before All Star Sports and Music)
We stayed at Caribbean Beach once - and that was enough. Our room...
Pros: Location, theme, set-up, look. Cons: Only allow four to a room.
My family and I had the wonderful opportunity of staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort a couple of years ago, and let me tell you, it was absolutely fabulous. The resort lives up to the Walt Disney tradition of great themes, you feel as if you are on...
We have stayed at several Disney World hotels & have never been disappointed. This one seems to be a favorite for children in the peak season (a really cool pool), so if you want a couples getaway try this one in the off season. It worked well for us....
Pros: Wonderful clean rooms. Speedy maid service. Quiet atmosphere. Great scenery. Cons: Rooms were a little small for a family of 4.
We loved our stay at Disney world Caribbean Beach Resort. It is great to get up in the morning and walk out the door. catch the shuttle to the park of your choice. Rent the bicycles for the family. The kids loved it. Beach, several pools. The...
You can't go wrong on a Disney World Resort! The cleanliness of the room was unbelievable(I wasn't afraid to go barefoot). The grounds were beautifully maintained. One day as we went to the food court for breakfast we noticed a flower plant had died....
Pros: Internal bus stops for each of the "islands" Cons: Overpriced food (just eat outside of the World)
I have stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort 4 times.
The internal bus stop is within a 1-2 minute walk from your hotel door(A BIG PLUS)! Each "island" has it's own bus stop.
The quietest (and farthest) "island" from the Main Pool/Food Court is Trinidad South...my favorite! There is a sidewalk that leads to the Food Court/Main Pool area, which is about a 10 minute walk. The walk is peaceful and leads you around the other "islands."
Each "island" has it's own designated pool.
The room is your basic room. Nothing to write home about. I have always experienced clean rooms, clean toilet/bathtubs and friendly staff.
Before you travel, pack some breakfast snack bars with you to eat for breakfast!! I paid over $10.00 for 2 bagels and 2 small juices. Alternative...go to Walmart upon your arrival to WDW and stock up on non perishables.
Pros: Great decor, nice foodcourt, lush landscaping and beautiful beaches. Cons: Housekeeping left a small bit to be desired.
This was our first visit to the Caribbean Beach Resort...our first to Disney World actually, and we loved it!! The resort is so beautiful and the rooms are really amazing. We were lucky enough to have our room upgraded and we ended up in the Martinique building. The decor is very pleasant, the beaches are beautiful and the food court was honestly our favourite place to eat in all of Disney World. It offered a few vegetarian choices for us, unlike the rest of the "World". Housekeeping did a pretty decent job, though our room could have used a daily vacuuming (with three little ones snacking often), but that's something they seemed to skip our entire visit pretty much. I can't wait to go back! We got back 4 days ago and we're already beginning our planning for our next Disney vacation...and we definately plan on returning to the Caribbean Beach!
Pros: Good price, clean rooms, very nice complex, awesome setup Cons: Place can be very big, beds were a bit hard, not enough hot tubs
My girlfriend and I stayed at the island of Jamaica from Feb 3rd to Feb 8th. The weather during our stay was very cold, but at least our hotel stay was excellent. The food was not so great (especially for the prices), but it was doable. Definitely grab the souvenier mug. The mug costs about $12 and you get to use it the whole time during your stay, but just to let you know, it doesnt hold as much liquid as it may seem. The tandem bi-cycles were a fun adventure. It's a little pricy at $18/half hour, but a half hour is really all you need to go around the whole complex twice (if you are a little late, they won't charge you). Most people say they'd rather stay at Martiniquie or Trinidad north, but I definitely reccommend Jamaica! I think it's the best location and nicest looking area of the resort. It's about a 5 minute walk to the food court. The one problem I had with the resort was that it only had one hot tub, not really practical when you have such a huge resort.
