I have been a subscriber to Art in America for about 5 years on and off. The on and off is because it is very expensive from a monetary point of view at $35.00 a year. Yet, when my subscription comes up for renewal, I try to let it lapse, but...
Pros: Profiles, updates in literary and artistic events, current shows etc. Cons: My complaints used to be lack of international artists' works and exposures...
Are you sure you can see? Many people have no problems with their eyes, yet they can't see. If you could see with your artist's eyes, you would paint the beauty that surrounds you. You would catch the natural beauty of objects, people, and animals...
Pros: Great works, great reviews and articles Cons: occasional "Huh?" wierd stuff.
Like the other art magazines that I read, Art in America provides me with what I seek most often - inspiration. While some of the others I get have a lot of 'pretty pictures', Art in America is truly on the cutting edge of the art world. With...
Pros: Balanced, intelligent coverage Cons: tends to overemphasize NYC & USA over the rest of the world

Art in America is a great resource for anyone from the budding artist to the least artistic yet culturaly minded person, and for those of us who like to look at the pictures and skip over the articles. It is a great place to find out about the art...
