Pros: quality articles, ads, and design Cons: Not a lot of financial news
You know the magazines I am talking about. Every other page is an ad, there are a whole lot of bite size blurbs, and eye candy abounds. Now there’s a fashion magazine for geeks like me (and all other new economy fans).
Pros: good source of encapsulated information Cons: at least one long feature article each month leaves me cold
There's a sense in the non-profit world that business news and publications from the for-profit sector don't have any applications in our lives. "After all," says Suzie Socialworker or Patty Programdirector, "I'm not about making profits - I'm about...
Pros: Timely, well laid out Cons: Still too many ads
Business 2.0 is a bi-weekly magazine that nicely bridges the gap between business and technology. Business 2.0 focuses on the new economy that Editor in Chief James Daly refers to as the Networked Economy. Business 2.0...
Pros: Valuable information, excellent interviews with business leaders. Cons: Too many ads, but they're changing that.
I’ve been a subscriber of Business 2.0 for five issues now. The only reason I know the length of time is because I’ve found Business 2.0 to be so helpful that I’m actually keeping copies of the magazine in my office.
Pros: Lots of interesting information Cons: A bit too 'nuggetized'
Originally I subscribed to PC Computing and it died. My subscription got transferred to Smart Business and it died. Now I'm getting a rotation of magazines from the folks at AOL Time Warner and Business 2.0 is the first of them.
Pros: A fairly informative magazine that helps readers learn the latest in new businesses and technology. Cons: Does have its share of advertisements and lacks indepth stories.
This magazine is not only informative, but after going through the latest January issue, I felt it succeeded in keeping me abreast of what is going on out there in the business world, specifically pertaining to new endeavors.
Pros: great, interesting articles, facts, diagrams, pics Cons: mostly a pure "internet play" magazine
If you have time for only one business magazine focusing on The New Economy, namely the internet then Business 2.0 is for you. Forget Wired, Fast Company, even Red Herring, skip them. Instead go for the magazine that prides itself on the New Economy,...
Pros: Informative articles, exhaustive length, fun features Cons: A weak website, and with length comes even more ads, but that's par for the course here
Business 2.0 is the quintessential magazine for what it refers to as the "New Economy." I've read most of its competitors (Fast Company, WIRED, Red Herring) and it has consistently won my attention.
Pros: Excellent layout, always full of fresh ideas Cons: It is hard to skip any articles!
My dad showed me my first copy of Business 2.0. I always thought the younger generation was bringing the technology to the older generation. In this case, dad brought it to son. Boy am I ever thankful.
Pros: Focus on the Internet: the New Economy Cons: B2 can't do everything for you, like get your Co. IPOed ;-)
You're probably reading this epinion because you're considering a Business 2.0* subscription. I can save you some time by telling you to click on over to their website and subscribe. B2's worth every penny.
Pros: Exceptionally well-written features, fascinating subjects, first rate illustrations Cons: Internet site does not live up to the magazine's standards
If hard-core Epinion members could choose just one magazine to read this month, I'll bet many would want to read Business 2.0. This publication, which is high quality in every way, is the Year 2000 equivalent of 19th century letters home from the New...
Pros: Cheap price, profiles new startups Cons: Overflow of ads
For the e-business analyst, for web designers, and entreprenuers, Business 2.0 provides up-to-date info on what's up-and-coming on the web. It is a great purchase, at just $12.00 yearly, I certainly cannot complain.
Pros: Great focus on internet business models Cons: Need to know what you are looking for
As part of the strategy work I do, I need to read through most business publications. These days, there has been an increasing focus on the Internet. A quick scale of increasing internet focus might go something like this:
Farm Show - 1 year(s) 6 issues - What's new magazine for farmers and ranchers featuring latest new products and "made it myself" inventions born in farm shops. If it's new ...
Home Business - 1 year(s) 6 issues - Home Business Magazine is focused on the growing, dynamic home-based business market. It's cutting edge editorial content helps readers cho...
Fast Company - 2 year(s) 20 issues - This magazine considers itself the handbook of the business revolution. It offers ideas, tools, profiles and evaluations on the new ways b...
