Pros: Great articles. Great Writers Cons: Should be a weekly magazine.
I subscribed 2 years ago to this magazine and I plan on keeping it for a while. It has great articles, great pictures, and great writers. The stories are always interesting and the Dan Patrick interviews are hysterical. It is also very big and contains a...

Pros: younger feel to it, more casual, relaxed Cons: rides players backs, overhypes the jerks of pro sports
As I was growing up, ESPN became my daily panacea -- the cure all for my ills because I just loved how they reported, loved their programing and I liked the fact they weren't at all like Sports Illustrated and SI's Dried up, high strung, pompous,...

Pros: Photos, Interviews Cons: Bi-weekly so some coverage may seem late
The photos in ESPN magazine have caused all other sports magazines to
try to measure up. Yes, as they have progressed with their magazine, some of the pics that go along with their articles are a little off beat. But, the photos from actual...

Pros: great small articles and features Cons: lacks the great reads of SI, too many ads
The title presents an age old question. However, it is not ESPN's unusual dimensions that catches the eye of readers but its bold predictions, articles, and analysis. I love sections like THE LIFE that take you closer to your favorite athletes.

Pros: Entertaining Cons: Not enough Hockey coverage
While ESPN the magazine is an entertaining read it does have quite a few flaws. There appears to be no structure to the magazine. There is very limited information on professional hockey (NHL, AHL) and virtually no coverage of college hockey. I...

Pros: picture, baseball writers Cons: some lists are over my head
As the slogan suggests, ESPN is the worldwide leader in sports. The same can be said for their efforts in the publishing world. ESPN magazine is a fine production. The oversize nature of the magazine allows for some great photos. They obviously have...

Pros: Great pictures, articles, humor, Cons: A lot of coverage of the NFL, MLB, and NBA; little coverage of NHL, other pro &/or women's sports.
ESPN has set the standard for all sports reporting in both print and broadcast. All local sportscasters have begun talking like Kenny Mayne, Dan Patrick, and Chris Berman. It is only natural for the sports magazines to follow suit.
From the...

Pros: The larger format, better photos, writing and overall coverage of all sports Cons: Ads, entirely too many
Was a longtime subscriber to Sports Illustrated and picked up ESPN's magazine off the newsstand, and was hooked. The articles are written with less of the "news" feel that S.I. has and more of the "we are fans too" approach that I...

Pros: Good articles Cons: none
The only really good sports magazine out there was always Sports Illustrated. That was pretty much it, until ESPN came out with a magazine. It was appropriately called ESPN the magazine. This somewhat free lance sounding magazine I thought blew S.I...

Pros: The ESPN name Cons: Hard to follow
Wow, is this a big magazine. If only ESPN could live up to the size.
I ordered this magazine based on the fact I am a sportswriter by trade, making me a "sports junkie." I can't go to bed without some "dah dah duh, dah dah duh"...
