  • Dot that i; Cross that T!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 24, 2000
Pros: Beautiful to look at, easy to follow
Cons: Makes me wish there were more hours in a day.

Summary: I must begin by stating that I love crafting and as much (or more) as I love tackling a project, I love looking at and reading about them. I have accumulated so many projects that I can not possibly live long enough to complete them all. What I'm ... read more

  • Just For Experienced Stitchers

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 6, 2000
Pros: Beautiful patterns, lots of tips and designer profiles
Cons: Very few quickie projects or beginner patterns

Summary: When I can manage to tear myself away from Epinions and the Internet for more than a few minutes, I like to cross stitch. It's relaxing, and I love to give gifts of the items I make. In fact, this Christmas I'm giving away lots of cross stitched ... read more

    Cons: Only published bi-monthly.

Summary: I started cross stitching a few years ago while in college, and one day I happened across an issue of Just Cross Stitch that had a gorgeous pillow design on the cover. I immediately bought the issue, and discovered the best cross stitch magazine out ... read more

    Aug 17, 2000
Pros: High-quality articles, projects, and photography
Cons: It only comes out 6 times a year!

Summary: I just love Just Cross Stitch, I think it's the best magazine on the market for stitchers today. Even though it used to be a larger magazine years ago, it's still got the best photography and patterns of any of the others I've bought. I've been buying ... read more

  • Projects I actually Make

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jun 30, 2000
Pros: Excellent variety and quality of patterns.
Cons: Not always easy to find and other magazines have better media (full-color charts on stiffer stock, etc.)

Summary: This is my favorite needlework magazine and the only one I still subscribe to. I don't remember seeing "corrections to previous issues" and have never had trouble with any of the patterns (other than my usual still-not-finished). I prefer ... read more

  • Just Wonderful!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jun 21, 2000
Pros: Attention to detail, great instructions, clear charts
    Cons: None

Summary: I've been cross stitching for close to 16 years. I have many projects lined up in my stash, so magazine projects are usually at the bottom of the heap. It's been my experience that most magazines just don't have the quality or intricacy that I adore. I ... read more
