Pros: Good articles about personal finances.
Cons: Their lack of concern and attitude shows up in their written and verbal communication.
Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine is a good publication, but their subscription and marketing practices are horrible. I subscribed to the magazine in September 2008. Shortly thereafter, I received an offer to renew for an additional year or two. Then in January, I started getting past due notices (also printed on the outside of their envelope) I have since received 2 more threatening to terminate my subscription. I beat them to the punch today by calling their customer service and cancelling my subscription. The person that took my call didn't ask why, but when I offered my explanation, she indignantly told me that it was up in September. (This is July 1)
I like the magazine, but I am offended at the lack of concern for their readers. Oh well, there will be othere subscribers to take my place...
