Pros: Excellent article selection. Easy to understand. Cons: Not cheap. Sometimes assumes you understand every term they use.
I currently subscribe to PC World and PC Magazine. PC World is the better of the two for most people in my opinion because it addresses subjects that appeals more to the home user and less to the technical wonks who like lots of numbers and articles...

Pros: Best computer magazine on the market. Cons: Too many repetitive ads
I have subscribed to PC World for a number of years, and simply feel that it is the magazine to have, if you have anything to do with a computer. I also had subscribed to Windows magazine, and can see now why it is no longer published. PC World has...

Pros: Great ratings and evaluations - helpful suggestions. Cons: I like everything about this magazine!
I began using an old laptop in 1984 and graduated to my first new PC in 1987. (A DELL Dimension 233). Now, running a DELL 8250 with 3 HDs and a full GB of DDRAM, I know a lot more than I once did - but one thing has not changed. That is, my need to know ...

About two years ago, I was introduced to this magazine, PC World, by my nephew's school fund raiser. I was very green at that time about the computer world, the products, hardware, software, ISP, etc... So I very foolishly prescribed to this magazine. Of...

Pros: useful Cons: the web site has all the info the magazine does
Don't get me wrong I am not saying that I don't like this magazine I am going to say that they need to maybe withhold a little information on their web site. I can find the exact same information on the web site that I can in the magazine and not have to...

Pros: Solid magazine Cons: Doesn't differntiate itself from the rest of the pack
PC World is not a great standout in the industry, but it does do some solid reviews and has some good commentary. However, I seem to read a bit much as I can't really pin down one thing I like about it that would make it shine out from the competition....
