Pros: Very informative Cons: Subscription is a bit pricey
I love the magazine PC World. It's very informative, it's not a magazine full of just advertisements. I've learned a lot about many different areas of computing, and different software from this magazine. I look forward to seeing the magazine in my...

Few computer magazines package their information in as understandable and informative a way as PC World.
I've been a subscriber to the magazine for a year or so now and, being a professional writer myself, can appreciate a publication that...

Caveat Emptor

Pros: Some decent articles, nice pictures, glitzy cover .. Cons: 1) Contributors not checked for accuracy. 2) Advertisers may have poor ratings for certain products ..
There is no such thing a plain computer magazine .. at least not from "PC World". In between about 70% advertising content, you have a plethora of subjects .. ranging from cameras to GPS to cell phones, etc. I am not renewing my subscription.
Emails to them challenging article content are ignored.
Simply stated it is serioulsy overpriced and the malarkey about subscription savings is just that .. the outageous "Newstand price" of about $7 creates the advertised 76% savings for a subcrition price of of about $1.66 per issue
