From Ricig to Around the bases to box scores...if it's baseball, it was covered in this now defunct magazine. I have been off and on a subscriber/news stand buyer of Baseball weekly for the better part of 9 years now. Every Wednesday is like Christmas all over again for this fan. I follow my Boston Redsox with a passion, but darn it, I'm not just a member of the Redsox Nation, I'm a Ball Fan. The stories are always well written, with specials about managers, minor leagues, trades (and deadline specials), and they always have a spotlight on a special player and their life, likes, and dislikes.
It's very unfortunate that Baseball Weekly and Football Weekly couldn't make it seperately because some of the articles on teams and current baseball news just doesn't seem to be included in the new rag, but rising costs and decreased readership obviously pushed USA Today's hand into combining the two. I miss you, baseball Weekly.
