Pros: Well written and gives a Christian perspective Cons: Republican does not always equal Christian
Tired of the slants of the other newsmagazines? Can't tell the difference between Time and Newsweek because they often have the same person or story on the cover? Looking for news from another perspective?
Pros: Easy to read. Well laid out. Cons: Distinct fundamentalist Christian bias.
World Magazine is a weekly news publication which publishes news and events relating to social-cultural, political, and economic issues of interest to Christians. In fact, the magazine itself declares in its Mission Statement, “To report and...
Pros: Biblical perspective, interesting content, excellent editorials and commentaries, conservative Cons: few or none, $1/issue subscription rate ?
World magazine offers a refreshing perspective in a weekly news magazine. While clearly conservative and Christian in perspective, the reporting is straightforward and frequently more challenging than that of its mainstream media cousins.
Pros: Weekly news magazine; Christian perspective. Cons: None
WORLD Magazine covers all the important news of the week with a Christian perspective. WORLD ranks 4th in most popular news magazines, behind TIME, NEWSWEEK, and THE NATIONAL REVIEW, but in my opinion, it ranks number one in content.
Pros: Well written Christian magazine Cons: Missing regular columns on science and technology

Pros: Broad spectrum of issues reported on Cons: Calvinist bent
I have been a subscriber to World Magazine for close to 15 years. Each time an issue arrives my family knows I can do little but read until I have devoured the entire periodical. From "Mailbag" to "Soulfood" World gives me the...
Pros: Well thought-out articles with attention to detail and balance. Cons: Would like to see more science articles.
I have not subscribed yet but am definitely considering it. I would recommend anyone interested, to go check out the articles at their website. The links in red are free.
As for bias, World Magazine is most definitely biased. But then, so are Time and Newsweek and every other publication. We rarely notice the bias when it is in agreement with our own personal views...and always notice it when it is not. But, the fact is that bias cannot be escaped, nor is it always a bad thing.
Therefore, the presence of bias alone, does not make for a dis-credible news source. In the western world, where the bias in news publications is predominantly liberal, a conservative bias, such as the one found in World Magazine, is a welcome balance. If you are not comfortable with that kind of bias, then this may not be the publication for you.
