Cons: none that I can think of..
Being a subscriber to Yahoo Internet Life magazine is a plus in my book. Before I became a subscriber I actually had an ego to think that I was much more than just a novice at finding great internet sites.

by OpalMan Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 20 '01
Pros: Good Magazine with some great articles
Cons: The fluff articles to try to draw casual readers.
I first read Yahoo Internet Life because it was the only magazine at the airport store that even remotely interested me. I had finished my book before I even got on the plane and figured I needed some new reading material. I was pleasantly surprised to...

OK, so I'm addicted!

by buckeyegal , Apr 20 '00
Pros: Thorough, interesting coverage of every aspect of the 'net.
Cons: Expensive at the magazine stand ($3.99), better get a subscription (24 issues for $19.95)!
I'll admit it...I'm an internet addict. Outside of internet porn, scams, and hackers, there's not much I don't love about being online. I shop, play games, research every whim, bank, communicate,...pretty much conduct my life on my pc.

Of...

HOTDOTS Don't Bother Unless You Just Want To Shop

by emlin Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Nov 28 '00
Pros: The credit card company pros are the only ones present.
Cons: A magazine featuring only commercials ads.
I recently received the premiere issue of Hotdots, a magazine all about the internet...internet shopping, that is. This magazine is no pretender: it is solidly built on nothing but commercial advertising but I wouldn't want even a free...

Pretty Informative Magazine!

by Rocketgirl , Aug 23 '00
Pros: Lots of lists; I love lists
Cons: Perfume samples? Ugh! And fold-out ads are a nuisance.
I have been pretty turned off on computer magazines lately. It took weeks and weeks to get InfoWorld and Industry Standard to quit coming to my house (and I wasn't even paying for it, they were). So I hadn't looked at anything computer-related in...

Home away from the net

by piglet2061 , Sep 14 '00
Pros: easy, casual, reading, good tips and links
Cons: only comes out once a month
A co-worker asked me, "why do you read that magazine so often?", I had to think about that a bit. I think the main reason is that while at work I am away from one of the most enjoyable of my hobbies, and that is surfing the net. It's a...

Looking For a Few Good Websites?

by hopelynn , May 27 '00
Pros: Lots of information, fun to read, easy to understand
Cons: I wish it was weekly, instead of monthly.
Yahoo Internet Life is the computer magazine with something for everyone. I wait anxiously every month to see what new websites will be listed, what web entrepreneur will be profiled, and read about the latest developments in the online world. I am by no...

Excellent magazine, but you really only need to read 1 issue

by pcomsec , Sep 01 '00
Pros: great handy pull out site guide
Cons: you don't need a whole year's subscription
This was yet another magazine I took on a 90 day free trial basis. Yahoo’s tagline is “Internet Life” and that pretty much sums it up.

Actually, I break magazines down into 3 categories - throw aways, reference and collectibles. Now let me...

Aside from ads and some boring articles, generally good monthly reading

by shqiperia , Jul 30 '01
Pros: Some great articles, suggests good sites, not geared toward business execs, removable URL sheet.
Cons: Ads galore, some completely useless articles.
I've been a subscriber to Yahoo! Internet Life for exactly a year now. What got me to subscribe was what seemed at the time a very cheap two year subscription deal. I couldn't resist it when I figured out it would only cost me around 80 cents a magazine....
