Pros: Fast and catchy riffs, superb drumming, thoughtful and well put together album in general. Cons: Unless wearing headphones, quite hard to hear Paulo Jr on bass for most part
Summary: When people think of thrash metal the typical bands that first come to mind are Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Iron Maiden and such. That soon changed September of 89’ when this iconic gem was released. Beneath The Remains is Sepultura’s third ... read more

Pros: Everything Cons: The album doesn't get enough recognition
Summary: Beneath the Remains is a prime example of an under rated classic metal album. For staters, every song on the record is good and the individual instruments all stand out. Still despite top notch songs and great production, Beneath the Remains is seen as ... read more

Pros: Furious guitars, amazing stickwork from Igor. Improved songwriting from earlier releases. Cons: Difficult to get into. 'Arise' is better.
Summary: 'Beneath The Remains' was the second album I'd heard from Sepultura. First one I heard was 'Arise' and the difference is alarming. Whereas 'Arise' is a fluid piece of work, a classic thrash record with plenty of character and identify, 'Beneath The ... read more

Pros: Just a classic. Cons: redundant sound.
Summary: A great cd from one of Heavy Metals biggest groups (if there is such a thing as a "big" group in heavy metal). The cd is fast and brutal from beginning to end and only lets down in the department of variety. Most songs sound somewhat the same ... read more
