Pros: A full album of great acoustic tracks and amazing live recordings. Cons: None.
When I first listened to Nirvanas Unplugged album I took off my headphones and just thought to myself. Wow. This CD is 100% pure gold. I had heard of the concert and I had heard that it was possibly the most touching acoustic performance ever recorded ...

Pros: Good cover songs, first time acoustic guitar performance. good songs at the beggining and end. Cons: too many slow songs in the middle.
Who would have expected that the noisiest band of the 90"s, the top hated band by parents could come out and create music so soothing and touching. This album is deep, Kurt finally puts out his sensitive and gentle side. Starting from their first album ...

Pros: Intimate rearrangements; not saturated with hits Cons: None
If there was ever an album that evokes the spirit of passion and genius of the grunge movement, Nirvana's MTV Unplugged set is it. Devoid of the anarchic noise that propelled the band to monolithic heights in both the commercial and cultural spectrums,...

Pros: Every song. Kurt's goodbye to the world. Cons: Absolutely nothing
This is the last record that we received from the most amazing band to emerge in the last 25 years or so. It had a very eerie feel to it and looking back, you can really see and hear the anguish in Kurt's voice. This is one of the absolute greatest ...

Pros: Great acoustics with great mellodies Cons: well......... nothing really.
Well what can I say about this album, I'll start with saying that this is the album that got me hooked on Nirvana. Many will say that Nevrmind is Nirvana's best and I don't disagree, but I do think that this is the album you should listen to, before you...

Pros: Powerful "Oh Me", "Lake of Fire", "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" Cons: Gloom-fests "Pennyroyal Tea", "Dumb", "Something in the Way"
This record is a historical document. Nirvana were talented, but they were also in the right place at the right time. If "Nevermind" had been released in 1985, I really doubt it would've broken through into the mainstream. But when it was released, in...

Pros: It tells a lot more about what was happening to Kurt. Cons: nothing.
I do own the cd but that is just there to remind me of the mind blowing show that they did. The cd just tells the story of what kurt what kurt was goin through but it leaves out the images of his face and how much soul he was putting in each song. If you...

Pros: Nirvana at it's tranquil best Cons: Too short!
MTV Unplugged in New York deftly illustrates how much talent Kurt Cobain and Nirvana really had at the highlight of their brief recording career. This album was recorded on November 18, 1993, Kurt Cobain's suicide followed a mere six months later...

Pros: great music Cons: no teen spirit
I was in a guitar shop several years ago surrounded by musicians and would be musicians looking at buying guitars. There was a boy in the shop buying a guitar. He picked it up a shiny red Fender, looked it over, sat on a nearby stool and started playing...

Pros: the songs "lake of fire" and "plateau" (#12 and #10) Cons: that kurt died. no more concerts!!!!!!!! :(
when i bought this album i was totally shocked at how much nirvana puts into their songs. i love the way they put their songs together. if you listen, the lyrics are stories of kurt cobain and his "miserable" life, mostly with courtney. there...

Pros: Just a perfect performance Cons: Too bad there's not more songs
I am much more into hardcore than grunge. However Nirvana has always been one of my favorite bands. I've gone through 3 copies of Nevermind. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the Kurt Cobain was gone. I was legitimately shook up.
...

Pros: Raw, Conquering, Original, Plastic, great Cons: none
Can you say Meat Puppets, Sure Nirvana is Great, but you know they are good when they can take songs from another group that only had 1 hit and turn them into huge hits... It shows Nirvana had Talent, Kurt Cobain had Talent, and in the world of Rock and...

Pros: simply brilliant Cons: wish it was longer
Released months after Kurt Cobain died (under what many still say are very unusual circumstances), this album is a brilliant addition to an already great set of albums. It shows another versatile side to an already unique sound. While some critics like...

Pros: Wide Variety, Wonderful Vocals, Good Track Progression Cons: Lacks Nirvana's electric stuff (well it is unplugged)
I really like Unplugged, because it really shows the range of music that the band could perform. For example: How many other grunge bands do you know who will use an accordion in their songs?
The album ranges from the light sounds of...
