Pros: beautiful sparse genius. Cons: none.
you drink yourself into slo-mo made an angel in the snow; do anything to pass the time, and keep that song out of your mind... Released while Elliott Smith was still doing time as co-leader of the Portland rock band, Heatmiser, Elliott ...

Pros: Brilliant musically and lyrically. Cons: Needle in the Hay is the only standout song.

Pros: Simply beautiful. Cons: I'll never get to see him live.

Pros: Elliott Smith is able to say so much with just his voice and his guitar. Cons: This isn't anything groundbreaking, it is very simple. (Pro also)
I'm a big Elliott Smith fan, and while I think all of his albums are amazing, this self titled effort is my favorite. Elliott Smith is still his most solid record, there isn't a bad song anywhere on the almost 38 minutes. His songwriting is at...
