Pros: Beautiful complexity proving electronic music is not inherently mindless or unmusical at all.
Cons: A little all over the place with some cuts less developed.

Summary: Underworld was my top musical discovery of 2012. My fiance tends to make me compilations of music periodically, and I was enthralled over the songs "Something Like A Mama" and "Pearls Girl" when he included them on two mix CDs for me ... read more

    Pros: Seamless, beautifully-executed electronica album
    Cons: None

Summary: Sometimes, even with success, it takes a while to actually get it right. Vocalist Karl Hyde and guitarist Rick Smith first dallied with success as part of the 80’s band Freur, who had a minor hit with “Doot Doot,” a heavily synthesized ... read more

Pros: Underworld's best, darkest, most electronic release. Perfect for a chilled-out nighttime listen.
Cons: Only the synth loop in Air Towel.

Summary: As the title [of the review] implies, this is Underworld's best album. It almost completely dumps the rock tinges of "Dubnobasswithmyheadman" and brings the dance facet of the music to the forefront. Gone are the funky basslines and stark pianos of ... read more

Pros: beautiful harmonies, engrossing vocals, it sucks you in and doesn't let go.
    Cons: one song isn't perfect.

Summary: Underworld are one of the most innovate and talented musicians in the electronic music field. They mix techno, trance, jazz, rock...it's just a wildly unique sound. When you hear Underworld, you instantly recognize them. One of the best things about ... read more

Pros: A solid album all the way through
Cons: I wish I had discovered this album a lot earlier in life

Summary: I write code all day long, and this album keeps me going all day long, with its catchy tunes, especially starting on Track 2. Just like a good Guinness, it's smooth all the way to the finish. So in that respect, I recommend this album to any coders out ... read more
