City by Strapping Young Lad

Cons: After this album, Devin got medicated :(

Well, read the other well-meaning I'm sure review, decided I needed to add my own... first off, trying to think of what "good" nu metal would sound like is rather useless because that's an oxymoron basically, and certainly has nothing whatsoever to do...

This is the Strapping Young Lad album to which all others are compared and fail to live up.  It's a lightyear beyond anything else the band managed to do and it wouldn't have been totally inadvisable for Strapping Young Lad to have just ended after ...

Pros: Devin Townsend=Genius!
Cons: Not everyone owns this masterpiece!

Devin Townsend proves why he's the greatest songwriter and vocalist ever!.....This is one angry album, controlled chaos at it's finest!...Devin sings with so much emotion and is so versatile and accurate on his delivery!...His vocals are like combining...

Pros: Almost every song was perfect, infectious drumming and all in all excellent songwriting.
Cons: I didn't like that there was an intro track. I'm just picky though.

I love nearly every song on this album.
The drumming is impeccable, for all the songs I attempt to tap my feet and hands along to the beat, which is nearly impossible, because it is so speedy and catchy.
The songs are sung well also, I love Townshend's singing, his voice on this record has an awesome dynamic range from low to high (but not too high) that I just love.
Definitely a must get.
