Pros: Beautiful lyrics Cons: Artwork on the cover?
I got this album because I enjoyed the rest of their work. This style blends the styles of Mental Jewelry, Throwing Copper, And Secret Samadhi, pretty well.
If you enjoy their beautiful delicate songs like Lighting Crashes, and Turn my Head,...

Pros: everything Cons: nothing
The formula is still there — melodic verses, smokin' choruses — but on "The Distance to Here" the Pennsylvania quartet moves beyond the distinctive sound that made its name and fortune.
Live has been somewhat cursed by its own...

Pros: amazing lyrics and great beats! Cons: a couple songs could be better, but overall still worth it
Live's fourth and most recent album, The Distance to Here, is well worth the money. After their third CD, Secret Samedhi, I was hesitant to purchase The Distance to Here. I had been a huge fan of their first two albums, but the third left something to...

Pros: Guitars and other instruments are played to perfection. Cons: It has take Radioactive to long to bring this group to the for-front of the music industry
Live has been rock's best kept secret . From the time Pain ,lies
on the riverside came out when they were playing in the little places
and clubs ,But were making some serious music with serious messages
woven into the bands ability to...

Pros: Theme of Love Cons: none
Once again MTV and my local radio station had me anxious to buy an album on its release day. The lead single from Live's new release, "The Distance to Here", "The Dolphin's Cry" is pretty high on my list of rock love songs. I will...

Pros: the music, lyrics, instruments, everything Cons: non
I first time I got to hear Live was on MTV. The first song I ever herd for them was "The Dolphins Cry" and later on "Run to The Water" I was hooked. I was dying for the moment to come so that I can go and buy their cd.
I...

Pros: That same intensity and passion we've grown to love Cons: A bit over the top with the "love" message
Heavy guitars and angry lyrics ... that's what Live is all about, right? Those angry yet poetic boys out of York, PA. Hits like I Alone, Selling the Drama, and Lakini's Juice spring to mind. Anger and power.
Not so for the band's fourth...

Pros: Great album, great sound, great lyrics, very progressive Cons: Fans who like Throwing Copper might find this album too progressive
If you are a fan of Live, then you'll love this album. The Distance To Here is the band's fourth album and definately one of the nest albums of the year. The main theme of the album is love. One can really see that Ed, Chad T, Chad G., and Pat really...

Pros: Great album; every song would make the top 40! Cons: None
"The Distance To Here" is an outstanding album. Live has always been one of my favorite bands; thus I eagerly anticipated October 5, the date "The Distance To Here" was released, for months. I purchased the album the day it was...

Pros: Very powerful and touching. Good mix of slow and fast. Cons: Some parts are a little heavy for my taste and it may be a little too intellectual for some.
This is the first album of Live I have bought and I must say I am very impressed. The only reason I actually bought this album was for "The Dolphin's Cry" but I soon found out I got a lot more than what I paid for.
"The Distance...

Pros: diverse in sound and style, poetic lyrics, great music Cons: Cons? What cons?
Ed Kowalczyk is a happy guy. And why shouldn't he be? After all, his band Live has two multi-platinum albums under its belt. On that fact alone, one would assume his life is golden, and that assumption would be completely correct.
"We've...

Pros: Incredible lyrics along with great guitars and drums. Very original, and are not part of "The Trendy Scene" Cons: I don't believe there are any
In a world full of trendy music like the Backstreet Boys and Brittney Spears, there are still a few bands who write their own music and actually play their own instruments. I know it may sound hard to believe but music is going down hill at a very rapid...

Pros: Beautiful lyrics added in with sometimes simple sometimes complex melodies to form a unique and catchy sound Cons: none
Live is back in a big way-
Although their follow-up to Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi, went platinum, the lack of airplay and the bad reviews given by some left fans wondering if the release of Throwing Copper was the peak of the band's...

Pros: Great lyrics Cons: Songs didn't get my attention.
I really enjoy Live, but their latest release "The Distance To Here" didn't sound as good as the others. Most of the songs blended together and didn't grab me in, but there is one exception. The songs "The Dolphin's Cry" and...

Pros: Another step in Live's evolution Cons: None
I don't think Live can do wrong. At least that has been my opinion since "Lighting Crashes" I had never heard of them before then. Like everyone else, I thought "Throwing Copper" was awesome. "Secret of Samahdi" had its...
