Pros: random, witty, energetic, and like nothing you've ever heard Cons: songs are short, but it works in their favor
Mindless Self Indulgence is a band that knows not to take themselves too seriously, which is kind of obvious from their name. The band members' names let you know what an oddball bunch they are; we have vocalist/programmer Jimmy Urine, guitarist Steve, ...

Pros: Crazy new sounds to drone out the boring world of pop music. Cons: Some may be turned away by MSI's form of expression.
OK, let's brainstorm for a second. If you took a blender, crammed all the GOOD genres of music (metal/punk/industrial/jungle, etc.) inside, sprinkled a dash of tongue-in-cheek humor, and set the mode to 'Liquefy', you would be left with...well, a load...

Pros: A totally fresh, energetic style. Cons: Too many people won't give it a fair listen because it's so freakin' weird!
Until recently I had never heard of this total freak show of a band from New York known as Mindless Self Indulgence. Several months ago my wife and I, as well as a few friends, attended the NC stop of Korn's Sick and Twisted Tour, M.S.I....

Pros: Heavy, funny, and intense, with a unique sound Cons: none.
This past fall I went to the Bowery Ballroom in New York City to see the band Orgy. I ended up getting to the club really early, so we went in, and watched the opening band play. At this time, I had never heard of the band that was playing. By the end...

Pros: everything about it Cons: a little to "out there" for some
Mindless Self Indulgence…The name pretty much says it all. My first introduction to this group of nut jobs was when they opened for Orgy at the Bowery Ballroom in NY a few months back. At the time, I had never heard of Mindless Self Indulgence and had no...

Pros: Amazingly complex Cons: or is it?
I've never really thought about it, but I suppose that if you were to throw enough s**t at a wall, eventually something really interesting-looking might stick. Such is the case with "Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy," the major...

Pros: very strange, different than everything else out there, insanely creative, perfect... Cons: except for last three songs, which for some reason don't fit, but are still great
Mindless Self Indulgence is my favorite band out there right now. There is absolutely not a more creative, stranger, and all-around better band presently playing. Honestly, i could go on ranting and raving about them. Which, in fact, i think i will...

Pros: Fresh, energetic, creative blowout, vibrant, clear lyrics Cons: That one day, they too, will fall into the sad world of "mainstream"
While at the school, counting the hours till the much anticipated System of a Down concert, my best friend and I were chatting about the opening acts. Clutch and Mindless Self Indulgence. Well, both of the acts, we had never heard of. The show was...
