Pros: extremely blues-inspired, reminiscent of early DC material, solid riffs throughout Cons: some generic material, not enough true standout songs
There's something to be said for longevity in music, and so, if nothing else, even if you can't stand AC/DC and what they've stood for over the last thirty years or so, you have to respect the fact that they've lasted that long, despite losing ...
Pros: AC/DC haven't changed a bit; they're still doing what they always did... Cons: No real stand-out track. AC/DC haven't changed...
Long before the age of man, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, four creatures were brought mewling into this world. As man developed these demi-gods of unbelievable power watched their progress and waited for their moment. Then in the tumultuous years of ...
Pros: Great songs, original music, awesome rock album. Cons: None.
Since the early seventies, AC/DC have been shaking the rock charts and the world with their own blend of pure blues, hard rock and heavy metal. But, when Bon Scott's traig death thought to stall the band....only made one of the top five most-selling...
Pros: Hard Rocking Sounds that just don't let up Cons: Sounds like old AC/DC
This band is getting old and so is their music. Many people have said this is their best album since Back In Black and that might very well be true, but it still isn't that great. A lot of their songs are just starting to sound like a lot of...
Pros: stomping pounding wonderful ROCK Cons: Hey it is AC/DC! there is no cons
AC/DC has done it again! that is all I can say! They are MY band! They are straight forward Rock and Roll. No messing around with these guys they tell it like it is! I bought the CD but I also went to the live concert of Stiff Upper Lip and let me...
Pros: Vintage AC/DC sound, great music to party to! Cons: Could be a few more songs on the CD.......
I bought this CD the day it was released earlier this year and have played it just about every day ever since. My husband keeps borrowing the CD from me and won't give it back!
The whole CD is vintage AC/DC and, like the band has said...
When I heard that AC/DC was releasing a new album, I was afraid that "Stiff Upper Lip" wouldn't live up to it's predecessors, but the minute I peeled the shrink wrap from the CD and popped it into my stereo, I knew I had nothing to worry about....
AC/DC is one of the greatest rock bands ever. Who can really dispute that? Maybe some baby-boomers that cherish their Stones or Zeppelin albums, but AC/DC is in their league too.
So, Angus in bronze pretty much summs it up for you. They are...
Pros: Great rock n roll Cons: I don't really like "Its a meltdown"
The reason I purchased the album was the review I heard about on a local radio station here in Raleigh NC. As I also collect AC/DC. I have recently seen them in Concert and listened to the album ever since then and it still kicks butt. When my Dad...
Thank goodness for this album. It seems AC/DC came out with their best album since probably For those about to Rock back from 1981 (produced by Mutt Lange). The album kicks off with a killer riff for the title track, boy does that song rock, followed by...
Allright, here we go. "Stiff Upper Lip," AC/DC's latest effort in 5 long years, is their best work since 1980's "Back in Black." While that album was an obvious requiem for the then-recently departed Bon Scott, (Hells Bells,) it...
Pros: All the songs Cons: Some of the songs are a bit repeatative
This CD has alot of very good songs on it. Angus and Malcom are two of the Best Hard rock writters in Music that have lasted this long. This CD goes to show that they will be around hopefully for many years to come. Even though there getting old they...
Pros: Nothing stiff here...classic ACDC, you know what you get. Cons: A little too predictable at times.
ACDC is like a warm, comfy blanket...okay, maybe a hard, studded leather pad is more appropriate? Anyhow, "Stiff..." is a good album, strong licks from Malcom and Angus, growling vocals from Brian and steady skin beatin' from Phil. I think the only problem with the album is that the boys have been sticking to their formula for the last fifteen years (can't blame 'em) which is write two singles and filler per album. It's still great ACDC stuff, but I think they need to think outside the marketing box and aim for another "BIB." They have the talent, the experience and the tenacity.
First album of new songs since 95 finds legendary band ready to rock like only AC/DC know how. Raring to roar after their Bon Scott Box set trib Bonfi...More at Buy.com Marketplaces
