Pros:Iron Maiden play it safe! Cons:Iron Maiden are not risk takers!
To begin with, I am and always have been an Iron Maiden fan! And despite my fondness for the band, I believe I can still be objective when reviewing a Maiden album... Band Discography: Iron Maiden - 1980 Killers ...
Pros: Most of the songs are quite strong and powerful Cons: a lot of recycled parts, a few boring songs
Iron Maiden deserves credits, hey this is their 13th album and they still manage to write high quality material. The songwritting is top-notch, as well as the power and energy. Unfortunately, some noticeable recyclage can be found on this album, which ...
Album Info: Date Of Release : 9th September 2003 Genre : Heavy Metal Number Of Tracks : 11 Total Album Length : 66.57 mins. Band Line Up : Bruce Dickinson : Vocals Steve Harris : Bass Adrian Smith, Dave Murray, Janick Gers : Guitar ...
Pros:New IRON MAIDEN Cons:Sometimes good and old is better
IRON MAIDEN was ready to prove its relevance back in 2003. After the Bruce Dickinson/Adrian Smith reunion they had released Brave New World, heads and shoulders above the Blaze Bailey years but falling short of the classic status. Dance of Death ...
Pros: Powerful musicianship and interplay, solid songwriting and excellent production quality. Cons: "Wildest Dreams" and some annoying repetition in the choruses.
Any time Iron Maiden announce the release of a new studio album, I experience two emotions at once and both hit me with equal intensity. The teenage rivet-head inside me--the kid of thirteen who thought God was speaking to him when he first heard ...
Pros: Non-repetitive sound, great riffs and creative cover ideas Cons: The cover was a little cheesy
Ummm... wow. About a year ago, I may have known of Iron Maiden, but certainly I'd have no clue what they sounded like. After getting the album in the mail for my school newspaper slightly before it came out, I'm hooked. I'm gonna go out on a ...
Pros: Mature but still rocking, shows that Maiden still has something left in the tank Cons: familiar feel and sound (but that's actually a good thing, no?), cover art
21 years ago, I was the first in my intermediate school to wear an Iron Maiden concert shirt to class. And on this past Monday night I was the first in line at my local record store to buy a copy of the new Maiden disc, Dance Of Death - the band's first s ...
Pros: an 11track classic IRON MAIDEN album!! Cons: features 'Wildest Dreams'
This is (in my opinion) the best Iron Maiden album since the release of the 1988 album 'Seventh son of a seventh son' featuring one song that is considered poor, and thats the first song and first single 'wildest dreams'. So if you like that song the ...
Pros: Return to Maiden's old form
Complex and interesting songs
Excellent songwriting
Excellent vocals Cons: Perhaps overlong at points
Some similar tracks
Re-used riff from "Fallen Angel"
Heavy metal band Iron Maiden’s thirteenth studio album Dance of Death defies expectations. The album not only succeeds in proving that the band is back on track following the return of lead singer Bruce Dickinson and subsequent successful album Brave Ne ...
Pros: * Great lyrics
* Classic Maiden song-structure
* Great music Cons: * A couple of stale songs
* Repetitive at times
I think now I know how Maiden goes around making their album. Harris & gang take that songbook of theirs, flip a few pages, take down what they feel like and string the notes together. With pretty good results as well! 'Coz it's one hell of a book, that ...
Pros: Strong lyrics, excellent guitar riffs and their Dance of Death tour. Cons: The fact that they may be gone someday.
I bought the latest Iron Maiden record following their live show here in Montreal on January 20, 2004, which was incredible. Before I go any further into review of the album, I must say that after seeing them live, I just can't compare their recordings ...
Pros: Alot of classic Maiden elements in here, exceptional work for a 20 year old band. Cons: The cover but it doesn't reflect on the music.
While Maiden has faded from popularity (at least here in the United States), it is good to see that they didn't try and pull a Metallica and try to become a pop-rock band. After Bruce's departure the band went down and experimented. I still liked it but ...
Pros: Classic Maiden style long songs mixed with a new edgier sound Cons: None
Iron Maiden has never put out a bad album and why should they start now. The Dance of Death is a great album with three classic Maiden style long songs, and some newer edgier stuff with hard hitting guitar licks. There are a couple of songs, Wildest Dreams being one of them which reminds me of Bruce's solo stuff. You can hear and see the Wildest Dreams video at www.ironmaiden.com This is a must have album. Get it.
