by bigd99999 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 30 '03
Pros: Slug's Aggressive Lyrical Flames, Ant's Unique Production, Great Subject Matter, Some Creativity
Cons: Some Weak or Poor Songs, Some Terrible Production, A Few moments of Filler
Minnesota's Rhymesayers have been making a huge name for themselves for quite some time. Slowly taking over the underground hip-hop scene at the start of the millenium, its apparent that the sickness of these unbelievably talented rappers is ...

Travel Into The Atmosphere

by graydome , Oct 03 '03
Pros: Strong production overall, and some great Hip Hop tracks.
Cons: A little filler, moments of poor production.
Atmosphere would have to be one of Hip Hop's hardest working crews, with Ant and Slug spending copious hours touring across America, making strong albums, and guesting, as well as producing on alot of other MC's joints, one would wonder where they have th ...

Catching up with Slug from Atmosphere about the Sevens Travels

by hstisgod , Jul 07 '04
Pros: Jazzy beats topped with intellectual realism
Cons: Everyone is soon to be on the bandwagon

WACK ALBUM.
by fabiojonz ,Dec 09 '04
Pros: 3 good songs.
Cons: Ants beats,Most of Slugs Raps,Too long,Too much filler, boring album cover.
Atmosphere had two good albums in Lucy Ford and God Loves Ugly,So....talk about falling off, this record sucks.

The intro(History) is a nice little track, and the first real song "Trying to Find a Balance" is dope.
That's were this album starts to suck.
"Bird sings why the caged i know" is a boring song with wack beat.
"Reflections" is pure corn.
"Gotta a Lotta Walls" "Keys of LIfe" etc. all follow this pattern to death.

There is a couple good songs "Cats Van Bags" "National Disgrace" and the Incredible "Always Coming Back Home To You" but it isn't nearly enough to save this garbage.

"Los Angeles" has the absolute stupidest beat ever made, don't buy this album,if somebody tries to give you a copy for free, slap them for pushing this wackness.

atmosphere's: seven's travels .. "emo-rap"
by myke_ey ,Aug 03 '04
Pros: "always coming back home to you"= amazing track
Cons: too much non-rhyming time
I found this group shortly after they were signed to epitaph and played a couple shows at warped tour 2003. I was impressed by their complicated rhymes and lack of "gangsta" attitude. This album is a good one although not as strong as their epitaph debut "godlovesugly" What sets this album apart from other rap albums is that in most of the songs there is amazing acoustic guitar underneath the beats. The guitar is most easily heard in the last track "always coming back home to you"

It also has nice skits that sound like theyre from a plane. (Words from the captain and flight attendants) Which clearly is part of the album concept of travel.

The best part of this album is obviously slug. His complex rhymes and unique voice make atmosphere what they are.

The only thing wrong with this album is that it has some tracks that just drag on longer than they have to.
