Cool Elevation by Ho'okena

Wow. Picked this up in Hawaii because of the beautiful scenery on the cover, and am I glad I did! Ho'okena has a unique sound--contemporary, soothing, and traditional at the same time. The chanting blows me away and I listen to that track every morning to help me get centered. Some of the melodies on this album are repetitive, but I listen to it over and over nonetheless. It gets me going in the morning, keeps me calm at work, and helps me relax in the evening. This album is incredible! I enjoy that much of it is sung in Hawaiian because it is a beautiful and historic language. I have read that because Hawaiian has so few sounds, it is soothing to the nervous system. Whatever the case, I have now purchased every single Ho'okena album but this is still the best. Try this!
