Pros: Voice, lyrics, production. Cons: Too "pop" for some fans.
After American Idol anything is possible. That’s what Josh Gracin had to be thinking when he left the show. A 22 year old Marine when the show began, he left a confident singer who didn’t “go pop” for the sake of winning the show. The ...

Pros: Everything. Cons: Nothing.
Being that I was left completely dissatisfied and unfulfilled by my last review of this album, I decided to rewrite it. Skin me alive if you must, but I felt I could do far better than that lackluster review. Not to mention, I'm irked. Why? Well, ...

Pros: Catchy, fun, a good variety, the best CD I have picked up this year. Cons: None!
I am an avid American Idol fan, and I was a Josh fan as well. So I expected the CD to be good like most of the other Idol CDs, but I found out that this CD was even better than expected! This is the BEST of all the American Idol contestant's CDs. This is ...

Josh Gracin has produced a great first album
by erly_star ,Jul 19 '04
Pros: fun to listen and sing to, well rounded variety of tracks Cons: none
Josh Gracin, a budding country star from American Idol 2 with a Garth Brooks flavor, has proven his potential in the ranks with the top country singers on his first self-titled album released last week. This album is fun, flirty, and perfect to sing along to, with his single I want to live demonstrating a strong voice, style, and skill. Other star tracks include Wheels and Nothing to Lose, both with catchy choruses and delightful tunes. Nothing to Lose, especially, is a great dance track perfect for getting the group going. But the album isnt all pep. Tracks like Peace of Mind and The Other Little Soldier are good slow tracks to relax and enjoy. This new artist has shown true talent and dedication as weve watched him develop since his performances on American Idol 2. Josh Gracin has put out an excellent first album to be enjoyed by county fans and others alike.

One of my all time favorite CDs.
by lindagn1 ,Jun 09 '06
Pros: Love all the songs. Cons: None.
I was a fan of Josh Gracin from the moment he appeared on American Idol. When I bought his album, I was expecting 2 or 3 good songs. To my surprise, I love every single song on this disk! (That rarely happens)
Instead of going into his life story, I just have to say I enjoy listening to his music. "Brass Bed" is one of my favorite songs. His upbeat songs put me in a good mood. "Nothing to lose" makes me drive faster. :)
No matter what genre you consider this album to be, it's good tunes and that's what matters.

Inspiring and uplifting
by flmanatee1974 ,Jun 30 '04
Pros: Not typical country music, very upbeat and uplifting. Cons: The last track would not save to my Real One Player Library.
I purchased this CD 4 days after it went on sale. I needed to hear what all the buzz was all about. And I promise you I heard it. This young man has got spirit, talent and inspiration for us all. I can honestly say that I love every last lyric on this album The last track on this CD is a must hear for all, especially those in a military family. Need to listen to something uplifting and have a smile put back on your face? Then go out and buy Josh Gracin's album. To think this man is still in his twenty's and has his whole life ahead of him and full of success for his future. That has to make anyone feel good.
