Pros: Intelligent, life-affirming lyrics. Cons: Some of the songs need a bit of an energy injection.
Allow me to be the first to tell you that I'm not the world's biggest country music fan. The amount of albums in my collection that could be considered country probably rests around the low double figures-and that includes the entire Dixie Chicks ...
Pros: 16 songs, Live Like You Were Dying hit song, deals with serious issues Cons: gives you a somber feeling listening to it
Live Like You Were Dying is the ninth album for Tim McGraw. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this release for some time now. Its title track has shot through the roof and became Tims fastest single to move up the charts. In just six weeks ...
Pros: Tim McGraw could kick Toby Keith's ass. Cons: Would have liked to see more upbeat stuff.
I never was much of a big country fan, but sometimes it was inevitable that I would end up listening to it. Such as when I was making sausage biscuits up at the Gee Pee. And of course, as with almost any type of music, there would eventually be songs ...
Pros: A lot of heart, a lot of humor, strong songs, excellent vocals Cons: Just a couple of missteps
I love Tim McGraw. He's the only man in music who can make me cry or give me goosebumps (Don't Take The Girl, Everywhere, Please Remember Me, etc., etc.). I own every CD he's made, except for Tim McGraw And The Dancehall ...
Pros: Has it's highs and lows which keeps you wanting to listen to the next track. Cons: Tim should do more work with the Dancehall Doctors.
This is Tim's second endeavor with his band the Dancehall Doctors. Normally an artist will record an album with a studio band and will tour with his/her "regular" band. Tim chose, once again, to recruit the efforts of his fantastic band to record "Live ...
Pros: 16 terrific songs. Tim sounds very traditional country in this CD. Cons: ONLY 16 songs!
My copy of Tim's new CD, Live Like You Were Dying, arrived this morning and I immediately opened it up and started playing it. I haven't decided which songs I like best, yet. "Old Town New"; "Something's Broken" and "Open Season on My Heart" have a ...
Tim McGraw does it again!! by carrielang ,Dec 06 '04
Pros: Great music from a great singer. Cons: Can't think of any.
This CD, which contains the hit "Live Like You Were Dying", is great. It's got the sad songs, and the funny songs (Like "Do You Want Fries With That?").
Very few CD's will contain music that I will listen to, meaning, the entire CD. This is one of the few that I will listen to over and over, without the need to "fast forward" through a song.
New and old fans alike will discover their favorites, and find themselves laughing and crying to songs.
Tim McGraw's voice brings these songs to life. It's well worth buying the CD.
