Pros: Serves as a decent, if bland, introduction to the band. Cons: The rest of it is embarrassingly unoriginal.
Did you ever fall in love with a group the second you heard them? One you were so hell-bent upon identifying that you screamed unspeakable obscenities at every car passenger to shock them into silence, all so that you could make out who the artist on the ...

A haunting rock'n'roll masterpiece
by teledeus ,Apr 11 '05
Pros: One of the best works of rock'n'roll ever. Cons: none.
This is the best album I have heard in a long, long time and it could very well be one of the best albums to be released in the last several decades. The Raveonettes manage to expand on their austere musical aesthetic without compromising their strong sense of textural unity. The music is much more toned down and expansive this time around with a much more timeless Velvety feel, yet the album still maintains energetic momentum throughout. Every single song is a gem and the album taken as a whole is well balanced. It is hard to imagine how they could have made this better, as it is a true rock'n'roll masterpiece. I plan on buying a copy for all of my friends and family when it comes out and I highly recommend you do the same. Lets hope they keep it up.
