Fiona Apple is one of the deepest and most soulful writers in all of music. The more you listen to each song on this album, the more engaged you are in each one of them. Her songs seem so simple in nature sometimes, yet display such incredible depth that it feels like a new experience listening to a song over again. She has shown talent and excellence since she first came onto the music scene and has gone on to age like a fine wine. There was speculation that she might retire after 'When The Pawn...' This is arguably her best work, but one thing is for sure, if this is the music she still has inside of her then she should be far from retirement.
