Pros: They took great care in crafting these songs. Wonderful instrumentals. Cons: This will take some time to appreciate.

Pros: everything: lyrics, music, arrangements, creativity, diversity Cons: a pointless term not applicable to this record
I'm a music obsessed geek. Now, most of you already know this from the fact that I've submitted review after review on artist after artist. But one of my worst habits is discovering the influences on the artists who I love the most. I've delved deep ...
The Band seem to be one of those bands that only true music lovers know about. I am ashamed as I only discovered them recently through my girlfriend's uncle. Boy was I missing out. Since my recent foray into their engaging, timeless and often ...
Pros: music like this doesn't age a day because it isn't part of time Cons: except the cd is only 75 minutes long

Pros: Authentic, Rootsy Vision of Americana, Song Cycle of the Heartland Cons: None
If ever an album documented a vision of Americana, Music from Big Pink does, in a way that can only be described as cinematic and archival. This is an album of song-stories, of tales to be passed between men and women, of tradition and trust. Far...
Pros: Absolutely timeless Cons: Once it grabs you, there is no letting go!
I was about fifteen when I discovered Big Pink in a small little record store in Durban South Africa. I had seen the Last Waltz a few years earlier and found The Band very intriguing. After years of searching for an album by The Band I found Big Pink and it literally changed my life. My friends did not get it,but I just could not stop listening to this absolutely timeless and beautiful music! I play it at least once a week to fuel my soul with purity.
