Nashville Skyline: From The North Country

by CurtisEdmonds , Jan 31 '04
Pros: Good stuff, this.
Cons: Dylan's voice not up to the task at hand.
The morning after Johnny Cash died, I was in my car, driving down to some corporate plaza in South Atlanta to do a training. I was wondering to myself about how long it would take the local country & western Top 40 station to decide whether or not it ...

Dylan does country, and seems pretty happy about it

by blksqul , Jul 15 '03
Pros: :)
Cons: Might be short for some.
You wouldn't know it by my recent reviews, but my god am I on a Bob Dylan kick of late. I can't real ...

If You Hate Bob Dylan, This One's For You!

by musicinsight , Jul 17 '00
Pros: Simple, beautiful songs with a country flavor. Bob's at his vocal best.
Cons: Album could be longer.

Down-home Dylan.

by EdSmith , Jul 05 '00
Pros: Johnny Cash drops by for a visit.
Cons: It's less than thirty minutes long.
The title, Nashville Skyline, is a little misleading. There's far more of Dylan here than of the ghosts of Hank Williams And Patsy Cline, but it is one of his better albums. The album opens with a duet with Johnny Cash on Girl From the North Country....

Dylan Skyline

by legaldubstar , May 30 '02
Pros: Hey man, It's Dylan!...and Cash too!...and Charlie Daniels...and more!
Cons: 10 tracks?
I missed the Dylan age (being born in 85') and so it took me awhile to get the hang of his style. I bought Nashville Skyline on vinyl. (yeah I know...you probably have it packed away in a Rubbermaid container out in the garage.) Anyways, I saw it while...

Angel in the choir

by ddzimm , Aug 08 '00
Pros: that syrupy voice!
Cons: too short!
Have you ever put down Bob Dylan's voice? C'mon, you can admit it. But I challenge you to diss Bob on this record! His voice is beautiful and thick, and he and Johnny Cash sound great together. Thought of as negligible in his oeuvre by some critics, I...
