Pros: Most enjoyable album, great songs, and Dylan has never sung better Cons: Not suited for everyone's taste
Summary: This is the Dylan album I enjoy the most.
Let's see if I can explain myself, 'cause this is hard: I don't mean that for me Desire is the best album by Bob Dylan; I think that place would go to Blonde on Blonde or Blood on the Tracks, because ... read more

Pros: Great epic stories. Notably Hurricane and Isis. Cons: Some average music behind some of the songs.
Summary: I think the artist that has most impressed me throughout my life would have to be Bob Dylan. Not for the usual reasons of his incredibly insightful lyrics and skilled craft with a guitar and harmonica, although those don’t hurt at all, but for ... read more

Pros: Best Bob Dylan's album Cons: None
Summary: Desire is my favourite album of Bob Dylan.
My favourite song in this album is "Hurricane". The song was dedicated to the black boxer Ruben "Hurricane" Carter, who had been framed for a multiple murder he had never committed.

Pros: A set of great tracks that also works as a coherent work of art. Cons: "Joey" is a decent track, but its length drags the album down a bit.
Summary: Bob Dylan has experimented for his whole career, but rarely were his experiments this successful. Desire (1976) is thought by many to be Dylan's last great album. I consider "Mozambique," "One More Cup of Coffee," "Romance in Durango," and ... read more

Pros: Dylan at the peak of his abilities with one of his strongest supporting casts. Cons: A couple of ponderous songs.
Summary: Desire is a snapshot of Bob Dylan's entire career. There are dazzling highs and bewildering lows, odd choices and brilliant choices, but through and through the unmistakable stamp of His Bobness is clear.
On Desire you'll find songs about ... read more

Pros: The Best of Bob Cons: none
Summary: This is really my favorite album of Bob Dylan's. You can tell that their is so much fury in his life at his time. Listening to his tales of Hurricane is like drinking the top of a suffering bastard. You feel like your on fire. I think Bob did ... read more

Pros: Wide variety of tempos, subjects Cons: Two long-winded songs about convicts I don't care about
Summary: Now that there's a movie about Reuben Carter, more people will taste of an album written by the poet of my generation, Bob Dylan. Not his strongest work, in the opinion of most who admire him, but certainly my favorite. It seemed to get overlooked ... read more

Pros: Beautiful - - great place to begin your journey into Bob Dylan. Cons: None.
Summary: Bob is a big favorite in our house. And "Desire" is my personal favorite (though it run neck-in-neck with his newish "Time Out of Mind").
There may be a faction who WANT to like Bob, but "can't get past his ... read more

Pros: Classic Dylan Cons: Not his best work
Summary: This is the second installment in Dylan's early '70s triumvirate that also included Blood on the Tracks and Planet Waves. The title that gets the most attention is "Hurricane". Since most people have only focused on this title I think it would ... read more

Pros: Wonderful tracks like "Hurricane", and "One More Cup Of Coffee", Great lyrics, EmmyLou Harris' background vocals are great as usual Cons: Some may not like the voice or the bluegrass/country rock sound
Summary: The old adage goes something like this: Bob Dylan is an excellent songwriter, but a really bad singer. There are so many people out there who won't even give Dylan a chance because of his voice, and that's too bad because they are therefore missing some ... read more

Pros: "Hurricane" is one of Dylan's greatest works Cons: The other tracks are largely quirky ballads, not main-stream material
Summary: Bob Dylan's "Hurricane" is masterful narrative street poetry. His voice full of scorn and outrage, backed by a driving beat and a crying violin, he tells in great detail the story of how the number one contender for the middle weight boxing ... read more

Pros: Some more Hurricane memorabilia... Cons: Hardly the Best of Dylan...
Summary: I've seen so much on here about Denzel's performance that I figured I'd turn you kiddies on to a blast from the past. Bob Dylan, once considered THE prophet of rock, wrote a few songs indulging his appetite for controversy which led him to borrow faces ... read more

Pros: Dylan's voice, interesting sound, hurricane Cons: A couple drawn out boring numbers
Summary: This album has a very unique sound, which I've never heard on any other album, Dylan or otherwise (And I own 20+ dylan albums). For starters, Dylan's voice is in rare form, extremely nasal, but loud and in charge. 2ndly there is this odd violin sound ... read more
