Pros: Typical Coppola lighting, viciously interesting from a Coppola-historian standpoint, especially gritty for 1963.
Cons: Heavily influenced by that famous sodomizer of great art, Roger Corman.
Francis Ford Coppola is a genius. The man was pivotal (along with Scorsese and Freidkin, and to some degree, Hopper) in bringing deep, personal, artistic film making to the American system. But, I guess you've got to start somewhere...

Pros: mystery, who done it type movie
Cons: rather dark footage throughout the film
