Pros: Great for the kids Cons: They want to watch them over and over instead of doing other things
Summary: I was shopping at wal-mart a few months back for some type of adapter for video stuff (I don't recall what) when I happened across some videos of Dr. Suess books. I don't really recall any of them from my childhood but as I have been around children a ... read more

Pros: Dr. Suess is the GREATEST Cons: Some of his ryhmes are so silly
Summary: What little kid did not watch, and read Dr. Suess??? Well, I was one of them. I loved Dr. Suess! I could watch him for hours. Then after I was done watching him, I would read all my Dr. Suess books! He's filled with riddles, ryhmes, everything that ... read more

Pros: Allan Sherman's voice work, wonderful songs, delightful entertainment for the whole family. Cons: Unlike the book, lacks clear moral. The DVD has promo for the awful live-action adaptation.
Summary: If you ever have the misfortune of watching the appalling live-action version of The Cat in the Hat, this delightful animated version of Dr. Seuss's classic tale is the perfect antidote. The cartoon isn't completely faithful to the book, but it ... read more

Pros: Allan Sherman and cast have fun with this mini-musical Cons: Not much of a story; choppy animation
Summary: In the sixties and early seventies, Ted Geisel and Chuck Jones worked together to bring several of Geisel's Dr. Seuss books to the small screen. The Grinch, the Lorax, and Horton the Elephant all came to life on television specials. In 1971, Geisel and ... read more

Pros: The soundtrack, and the fact that it is based on a justifiably popular Dr. Seuss book Cons: --
Summary: It's amazing that I can still quote the lyrics to all the songs on this tape after all these years. This was one of my daughter's favorite videotapes when she was a toddler and preschooler, and you can't go wrong with anything written by Dr. Seuss. ... read more

Pros: It's still Suess Cons: Quality doesn't match that of the books
Summary: I've always been a big fan of Dr. Suess--I was practically weaned on it. We began reading Dr. Suess to our son when he was in utero and have continued on an almost daily basis since then. So I thought this video would be great. I was sorely ... read more

Pros: Good tempo Cons: Somewhat irritating.
Summary: Okay. Let me go on record as saying I probably don't have all my ducks in a row.
You see, I recently watched this movie. And it was this movie. It just had the lyrics printed on the screen for the songs. I had not expected that.
I watched ... read more
