Pros: baseball, Danny Glover, innocence, humor Cons: none
Angels in the outfield is a movie that quickly became a Disney classic, the minute it was made. It has all the great qualities that make a good Disney movie. From the feel-good atmosphere, to the child overcoming his fears, and even to the well placed ...
Pros: One more time with feeling, anyone? Cons: Unrealistic, depending on your definition of "realistic".
Now that we have discussed the pros and cons of Rookie
Of The Year, it is time to finally figure out which one is the Master, and which one is the Apprentice. Since my Rookie review listed the ...
Pros: Great inspirational movie dealing with faith and believing in the impossible. Cons: Some of the facts of the game of baseball are distorted.
One of the most inspirational movies of faith that I have in my collection at home is a precious story called Angels in the Outfield starring Danny Glover and Tony Danza.
In Angels in the Outfield a boy named Roger who is...
Pros: Danny Glover, Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd Cons: well...this is Disney, so NONE!
Well, after getting into the Baseball movie stream and the season opener on Tuesday(go White Sox!!), like I did with the Sandlot, I thought I’d pull this one out of my Disney rack and watch it for the one millionth and three-fourths time(when I...
Pros: Angels, Disney, Glover, Baseball, and Lloyd....a Great Combination Cons: None
Another boring Saturday night, my family sitting in the front room watching a movie......or at least we thought it was going to boring. Angels in the Outfield was the movie of choice that evening. I wasn't sure if this movie would have what it takes to...
I am so surprised to see that I am the first to write a review of this movie. If you are constantly looking for movies that are fun for the whole family, you've got to see this one.
It's a brilliant and heartwarming tale of two young orphans...
Pros: Great story of how a little boy's faith moves mountains. Cons: Angels, not God, are given the glory. Language.
When this film was first released, it was on my must-see list. I enjoyed it heartily and have watched it many times. But now that I have kids of my own, I hesitate to purchase my own copy, mainly because of the language it contains. That's a shame,...
Pros: Overall fun, good family film for people of all ages. Cons: Not a one.
In a time where finding a good, wholesome movie for the entire family is hard to come by, Angels in the Outfield takes the cake. This is an excellent film that I have seen more times than you can count on fingers and toes. This is an uplifting movie...
Pros: funny, and just a good movie to watch Cons: I don't really have any
The first time I saw this movie was when it came out on video, I am not much of the paying 7 dollars to see a movie one time, kind of guy. I only watched this movie because my little sister brought it home one day. So I watched it to see if it was any...
Pros: family oriented, wholesome Cons: Christopher Lloyd unbelievable as an angel
A story of compassion, hard times, hard decisions, loyalty and supernatural intervention! This is a great family movie. Even though the featured child characters are foster children they are loved and cared for. And they suffer through their childhood...
Pros: charming plot Cons: may be a little sad for young children
I am big of baseball and will usually go see any baseball film that comes out. This is why I went to see Angels in the Outfield. This movie can make you believe again that there just might be angels and other types of miracles out there helping us...
Pros: Great family fun, you should watch this with your children Cons: Some might think it's sappy, but I'll wager the kids won't.
Not since Boys Town has there been such a sweet, tear-jerking kind of movie, where hope and reality blend.
If you like good, clean, fun, with a great cast, and
an interesting look at baseball, you've got to see
Angels in the Outfield.
I watched this with my grandkids and they loved it, and we watched it over and over. They never tired of it. Does this prove that the good ole days are still what kids want?
I'd say yes.
A kid sees angels while watching his favorite ball team. A ball team that is slowly going downhill all the way and the star pitcher is losing it, in more ways than one.
The kids in this one are adorable, the story, although almost outdated, I'd say we all need a kick in the pants and a little more heart. This is a family winner!
