Humanity Braces for War in V: The Final Battle

by dragonfire88 dragonfire88 is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Movies, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Nov 05 '09
Pros: Entertaining continuation with interesting story and characters.
Cons: Not as strong as the first one. Ending could have been better.  No extras.
Since the miniseries V was so successful and popular, it wasn't long before a second miniseries, V: The Final Battle, was made.  I remember watching it back in the 1980's ...

V: The Final Battle

by phungus phungus is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Movies, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Mar 13 '05
Pros: A few cool action scenes
Cons: Bad ending, not as good as the original series
V: The Final Battle is the follow up to V: The Original Miniseries and consists of three different 90-minute episodes. It continues where the original series left off and concludes the story, though there is room for a sequel. Please read my review of ...

V: THE FINAL BATTLE - More action, less brains

by desslok desslok is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Movies, , Feb 24 '08
Pros: Good action, improved special effects over the first chapter, Michael Ironside.
Cons: The script doesnt have the heart of the original.
Lets see, when we last left our heroes, Earth had been quietly invaded from beyond the stars. The Visitors had not only ingratiated themselves into just about every facet of human life and culture (down to having an action figure line - which, to this ...

Let the Battle Begin

by Bruguru, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Apr 28 '09
Pros: Decent action and good sci-fi.
Cons: Loses the highbrow value of the first series.
With the success of 1983's "V" , it was inevitable that a sequel mini-series would pop up. After all, the first go-around left viewers with a cliff-hanger ending, causing them to wonder how ...

V is a television science fiction movie from the early 1980's. This movie was an epic adventure that spanned over 10 hours, and was also made into a weekly television show in 1984.

Less Meaning, More Action When "V" Comes Around For "The Final Battle"

by wlswarts Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Mar 18 '03
Pros: Interesting Characters, Good Acting, Tension, Plots
Cons: Lack of Social Messages From "V," Very Hokey Conclusion
When "V" aired in 1983, Kenneth Johnson had created an amazing epic with long reaching social messages. It was the biggest mini-series to air up until that point and it remains as one of the triumphs of television movie making. Given where "V" left...

V -- Stands for Very, Very Good

by Sabrina7 , Mar 10 '01
Pros: Entertaining, something for everyone.
Cons: A little melodramatic in spots.
I bought V: The Original Miniseries and V: The Final Battle as a collection from Amazon.com.

Each one was a separate miniseries. The first was shown in the early 80s and the second was aired about a year later on the same network.

What is the secret the Visitors keep?

by jackiechad , Dec 17 '09
Pros:
Strong characters, mostly good story
Cons:
starts getting hokey later in the story
Kenneth Johnson is one of the names in TV, particularly from the 70's and 80's, that I respect the most. As a kid I loved so much of what he did and as an adult I continue to find depth and substance in his works. V might just be the best ...

V, wish it wasn't the final battle

by christinelpn27 , Dec 26 '00
Pros: Great acting, good script, nice pace
Cons: too many good characters die
Here I am once again, writing about a Marc Singer movie. But fortunately this is the movie I first fell in love with him, so my review may be slightly biased. Nah, loved the movie, despite who was in it.
V was one of the most awesome movie series...
