Saving Private Ryan

Pros: Very realistic, great acting, emotional, good action, amazing story and plot, the characters are fantastic
Cons: I wouldn't watch it if you can't handle blood and gore, can't control emotions well.

Saving Private Ryan is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It has given me a great image of what the war was like and how people treated each other. The beginning and end tie in very nicely together. This movie is not for people who do not like blood and gory images or people who don't do well with sadness and emotional movies. As I said this is one of the best movies that I have ever seen. The emotion that goes through out your mind as you watch the veteran leaning over his army friends grave is breath taking. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Private Ryan has lost all his brothers in the war, a general and his men are on a mission to find him and get him out for his mother's sake. Once the general finds him, Private Ryan doesn't want to leave his squadron and wants to defend his group and area from the attacking Nazis. Over all this is an amazingly fantastic movie.

Pros: Tom Hanks, Spielberg,the cast, everything
Cons: You need a strong stomach

You only need to see the first 20 or 30 minutes of this movie, to know that it is different. It is the most a WW2 Movie ever filmed. Many veterans were shaken up when they saw it. My late father in-law was on a mine sweeper at Normandy, and would not have survived seeing this movie. This movie is a must see for all people, to show the true horror of war. It is a movie that you can only see once, but will stay with you forever. Spielberg outdid anything else he ever did in the movies. Bravo
