Pros: Bergl, London, Irving Cons: remake, rehashed storyline
Knowing that I would want to watch the sequel, I decided to rent both Carrie and Rage: Carrie 2 from Netflix. After watching Carrie a few days ago, I decided to actually watch Rage: Carrie 2 to see if it had lived up to...

Pros: Emily Bergl, some social commentary Cons: treads no new ground, lack of gore for a horror flick
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and you know what that means -- time to climb into your empty bed and settle in for a nice "studly jock for some reason or other likes unpopular girl and, despite pressure from his friends, the two fall in love, ...

Pros: The gory final ten minutes Cons: There's a movie before the gory final ten minutes
After Scream came out, a new wave of horror movies starting trickling out into theaters. And then it was a great flood, and now we're back to a trickle (with The Forsaken movieland's latest offering). But anyway, a lot of this new wave...

Pros: The final 12 minutes. Cons: Everything before the final 12 minutes.
OK, OK, I rented the damn thing, so I get what I deserve, right? I just didn't expect it to be so damn boring! You could edit out the first 45 minutes and it would still be too long. Someone apparently forgot to tell director Katt Shea she was working on...

Pros: Pros? In a Katt Shea movie? Cons: This film got made.
My friends, I have seen bad films. I have laughed in the face of Batman and Robin, cackled maniacally at Hope Floats, giggled all the way through Highlander II: The Quickening, and received a perverse sort of pleasure from...

Pros: Emily Bergl's and Jason London's performances Cons: Detestable secondary characters and a very gory climax
In my book, THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 is one of those films that I would have to file under Curiously Frustrating--in that there is enough to make this film at least tolerable, but not enough to make it really all that remarkable as a movie. The problem begins...

Pros: Emily Bergl and the tattoo Cons: Contrived plot
This is a movie that I watched once, and watched again, because I thought I missed something the first time. I didn't. The sad fact is that there wasn't much there. I knew better than to expect a movie that would in any way echo Stephen King's story in...

Pros: High School Prom Nightmare Cons: not as scary
I think The Rage:Carrie 2,is a great movie. It isn't scary, but a great thriller.Rachel's mother was institutionalized for schizophrenia when she was a little girl. She grew up in a foster home where they didn't seem to care a lot.Amy Irving plays as a...

Pros: Good acting Cons: Bad special effects
We had to wait 23 years for this greatly anticipated sequel to Carrie. I would have waited far longer if only this film could have been better.
I was a fan of the original Carrie and I realize "The Rage: Carrie 2" had the great burden of...

Pros: The characters and plot were better rounded and stronger. Special effects good. Cons: It still could have stood improvement in the plot department.
I saw the original “Carrie” on HBO a long time ago. While I enjoyed this film, I wouldn’t say that it was the best movie that I ever saw. When “The Rage: Carrie 2” came out, I was a bit leery of it.
I expected it to be like the original movie....

Pros: Wickedly original and symbolic death/killing scenes, was an unexpectedly good movie, Amy Irving was cast in this movie Cons: A few mistakes when they went back in time or to the original Carrie
As my title says, I am having some difficulty deciding on how many stars Carrie 2: The Rage should receive. The movie was not as good as other movies I have rated with 4 stars, but yet it does not really deserve 3 stars either, according to my...

Pros: Not many Cons: 105 minutes too long
Carrie 2 explores complex societal issues and modern day mores that confront today’s youth. Using situational irony and subtle symbolism, this film reveals a darker side of Suburbia and American life. Using the horror genre to paint a picture of the evil...

Pros: Some solid performances Cons: A poor repeat of the original
It's not so much that Carrie 2: The Rage is a bad movie. It's just there's little here that wasn't done first or better in the original. As in the original, a misfit student (Rachel Lang, played by Emily Bergl) uses telekinetic powers to avenge herself...

Pros: good acting, good like the original Cons: not scary
This was surprisingly a good movie. I admit, it is not scary, it is more like a thriller. But it is good. It is almost as good as the first version, Carrie.
The movie starts out with a girl named Rachel, whose mother goes crazy. The little...

Pros: Plenty of action, new twists Cons: Set up simalar, less intense
Normally I don't like sequels but this one was worth watching. Much in the same mode as the first Carrie, only made to fit the 90's. Rachel's (Emily Bergl) powers in this film seem to be doubled that of her dead half sister's. The film was bolder,...
