I was very disappointed when I got this video. I had done other boot camp videos, and have enjoyed videos by Method, but this one did not live up to my expectation. The video consists of three short segments. These have been taken from the Method TV...
Cardio Boot Camp is a great exercise video! The leader is very upbeat and gets you motivated to keep going. It has 3 seperate 15-minutes videos, which is a good thing if you don't have a lot of to exercise. You can pick and choose which ones you do,...
Pros: The set looked very nice. Cons: It seemed like the instructor was making it all up as she went along.
I was very unimpressed by this video. The instructor failed to keep me entertained with her routine. The music was bad and so was her entourage. There was nothing "Bootcamp" about it except for a few jumping jacks and push-ups. She was anything BUT a drill instructor. The moves seemed unprofessional and all over the place. I was so bored by the second segment that I sat to watch it and see if it would get any better. It didn't. I returned it and bought Billy Blanks Tae Bo instead.
Pros: enthusiastic, basic yet intense Cons: not enough cooldown, cardio section too brief
While I do like the concept of Cardio Boot Camp and I do enjoy the enthusiasm of Tracey Mallett and her moves, I believe this workout with it's 3 brief segments, doesn't give ample time for a real workout. I find myself fast forwarding through the warmup of the following section in order to maintain the momentum of the cardio intensity. A much longer cardio routine, with less segments would work great. The other drawback of this video, is the warmup and especially the cooldown section, is almost non-existant. These things are crucial, especially for a beginning exerciser, who doesn't know what to incorporate to bring the heartrate down when the cardio section is through. These few additions would make this video good. I do like Tracey's combinations and she keeps you psyched throughout.
