Pros: An excellent look at what it means to be "human" Cons: To slow for the action oriented crowd
When I first heard about this film, I thought it was simply going to be another Robin Williams movie acting like some kind of crazed living cartoon character, ala Rainbow Randolph (Death to Smootchy) or Mork from Ork. So, I didn't choose to watch this...

Pros: wonderful and touching Cons: can't think of one
I saw Bicentennial Man because I am a Sci-Fi buff - I'm also a romantic! This movie beautifully fused both aspects into a touching, funny, sad, romantic movie. Completely different from what I thought it was - but wonderfully surprised.

Pros: Some laughter, some tears Cons: none
When I saw the trailers for this movie a long time ago, I expected this movie to be a little more on the comedic side. Instead, we get a movie that's about an android longing to be human. It's based on an Isaac Asimov story, so the android, quickly...

Pros: A movie that can grow on you and become a much loved one Cons: none that I can think of
I can remember when Robin Williams used to be known for his comedy, but no one ever thought of him as a serious actor until he started to take roles like the Fisher King and What Dreams May Come. Bicentennial Man was one of those movies that I ended up...

Pros: This is an excellant film with many funny parts. Cons: None.
The Bicentennial man is a family story about a robot who has human feelings. A family buy the robot thinking he can help with meals, tidying up and general domestic chores around the house. Little do they realise at this time that the robot is going to...

Pros: Robin Williams, special effects Cons: None
I don't know how this movie got past me at the theaters, but I am sure glad that I caught it when it got to video. What a fine motion picture this is.
Lately Robin Williams has been getting involved in movies that have a lot of heart ('What...

Pros: interesting look at future-very funny Cons: somewhat vague as to passage of time
Bicentennial Man was excellent. I wanted to see this movie because of Robin Williams. I love everything he does. My sixteen and six year old sons watched with me and they also liked it. The six year old didn't follow some of the plot as it became...

Pros: moving, touching, funny - fit for whole family Cons: may be a little long for young children.
I rented Bicentennial Man, expecting a lighthearted Disney movie. I knew I was in for a lot of laughs, just can't imagine anything with Robin Williams in it not moving me to laughter, but I never knew I would be in for so many tears...
Bicentennial...

Pros: the robot's learning about humans, puns Cons: not enough told about the 3 Laws of Robotics
I have been a long-time fan of Isaac Asimov.
When Robin Williams projected the three laws of robotics from the top of his head in the Bicentennial Man, I got goose-bumps all the way up and down, and settled back for a grand view.

Pros: Futuristic Setting Well done, Acting, Plot Cons: Can't think of any
Well, for a PG movie this one shocked me. I would have guessed PG-13 but.. oh well. Anyways - Bicentennial Man is a movie based on the life of a robot named Andrew who quickly finds his life meaning is to be a human. This movie is increadibly funny...

Pros: Very nice Cons: Too long
Why do they call it Bicentennial man if he only lived 199 years and 364 days? Okay this movie was really good. It lacked the usual robin williams letting loose parts. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Yeah Oliver Platt is in it! So is the guy...

Pros: Very thought provoking movie that is also funny Cons: Slow in parts
Robots have appeared in many forms throughout the entertainment industry ranging from mechanical dogs (Dr Who), psychotic love robots (Outer Limits) to the more loveable almost human robots (Data in Star Trek). Man is fascinated with robots and there is...

Pros: Touching story of one's journey to find acceptance in the human race. Cons: Not terribly realistic, but then it's sci fi!
A few years ago, I watched "Bicentennial Man", starring Robin Williams, for the first and until tonight, only time. I really consider it one of the best films ever made, but had not had the chance to watch it again until tonight, when it was on the ...

Pros: Great animation, special effects, and as always Robin Williams is at the top of his game. Cons: To long.
I thought that Bicentennial Man was a very good movie overall. The story line was well written and some-what believable. They where a couple of things in the movie that seemed far-fetched, but not totally unbelievable.
It is defiantly a movie...
