Pros: Music and Dance gets kids WIGGLING Cons: What's "up" with Anthony????
Dance Party by The Wiggles was one of the earlier additions we added to our collection of Wiggles videos for our toddler son. He's the #1 Wiggles Fan in the household, but truth be known, I'm moving in on him. The Wiggles have lately become a bit...
Pros: Lots of singing and dancing, my daughter absolutely loves this video Cons: Continuity is off, cheap looking sets and costumes, deceptive looking cover
The Wiggles Dance Party is one of the videos that my daughter received for her 2nd birthday this year. Now, Courtney's first love is Blue's Clues but the Wiggles are a very close second and I knew as soon as she unwrapped this video that it was going to ...
Pros: It's The Wiggles! Cons: It's NOT the Captain!
As I've written already (again and again and again...then one more time), The Wiggles have been the best thing to hit our VCR since VeggieTales. Yes, the singing produce have been hidden in the crisper, there's a new sheriff (or 4 new...
Pros: Quite innocent fun, gets toddlers moving off the couch, very catchy tunes Cons: A bit basic in production values compared to their other videos
I discovered the Wiggles because my son loves Kipper. What's the connection? Before each Kipper session, there are previews for The Wiggles, Bob the Builder, and Barney. So I caught Wiggle fever this way. The Wiggles consist of four grown men, Greg, ...
Pros: Catchy songs Cons: A little corny with an oblivious low budget!
My daughter got this video as a gift and that's good because we probably would have never bought it for her. The four annoying Australian guys behind The Wiggles jump around in this video singing these really horrible songs with just as horrible props....
Wiggle on Over To Dorothy's Dance Party by pgh9fan ,May 17 '04
Pros: The children love it! Cons: Walking aroung all day singing Point You Fingers and Do The Twist to yourself.
This was the first of The Wiggles videos. And, it's by far the best! It's not a glitzy video with the production values like the later Wiggle Bay. That's what makes it great. The scenery has very large, plain images--exactly what the age group it draws can comprehend. It's simple and straightforward fun.
The singing and dancing move along very quickly, but without a story. That's also not a problem. The two-year-old crowd just doesn't comprehend a story anyway. They just want to dance to such number one hits as "Let's Do The Flap", "Di Dicki Do Dum", and "Can You Point Your Fingers And Do The Twist?".
Also, I like the fact that there are kids from the age group dancing away in the video unlike the later videos where professional, adult dancers do much of the dancing. Watching The Wiggles' interaction with the young kids shows why they're loved so much. When the children make a mistake no one cares and no one should. It's just fun!
Finally, I don't care what others say. I like Anthony's long, wild hair. Hey, mine was longer when I was younger too.
Pros: Wiggles are fun and entertaining. Cons: Their isn't a lot of fun upbeat dance music.
The Wiggles are great but this DVD seems to miss the mark. My children love to dance, so when I saw this title I thought it would be a huge hit- I was wrong! There actually isn't a lot of "dancing music" in this. There are a few ballads and other music, but not a "dance party" as the title and cover art implies. Again, the DVD is fine, but the title is misleading.
