Pros: Fascinating plot, good use of flashback, continually mysterious Cons: Ending was unexpected, tho provocative
I was fascinated by Guy Pearce, who plays the lead character, Leonard-sometimes called Lenny- in "Memento".
Certainly this is one of the most thought-provoking films I've seen all year. The story unfolds through a series of flashbacks. And these...

Pros: Unlike any other movie currently in theaters. Cons: WAAAY too confusing for me!
'Memento" is, in sum, the tale of a hapless man who, having suffered an accident, is no longer able to retain short-term memories. Relying on hasty notes and Polaroids, he knows only what he has tattooed on his chest: that a man named John G. has raped...

Pros: lots Cons: few
I had forgotten all the previews so when I rented this movie I had no exceptions. I was pleasantly surprised. The plot was interesting, the filming was interesting. I had to watch the first 15 minutes again to thoroughly understand everything. I thought...

Pros: Skillfully executed. Keeps audiences guessing. Cons: Violent.
This has to be one of the best films of the year. But then again, I like my films to be a little different.
This film is a fragmented complex narrative that is skillfully executed, that will keep you guessing. Original and clever movie.

Pros: Fascinating, non-stop mind candy Cons: I can't remember any
This movie is fast paced so you can't take your eyes off the screen, and by the time you leave, you may well feel as if you've taken a hallucinogenic drug!
The main character is played by Guy Peace, originally an australian soap opera actor...

Pros: scripting the movie in short time blocks Cons: too much information in the last scene
Though a disturbing situation, being unable to create new memories, the movie tells the story very well. It was a great idea to show the movie in the memory spans that the main character actually had. THe mystery is added when the scenes are shown...

Pros: Good idea and based on a short story I enjoyed reading. Cons: Too confusing, didn't feel like I understood any of the characters either.
When I read the box, I thought this would make an interesting watch on a night when I had nothing better to do. I was immediately confused with this film. The character has no short term memory, and is constantly reading notes, looking at pictures etc,...

Pros: Extremely thought provoking, very creative, incredibly suspenseful, and original Cons: At times confusing, will probably have to see this twice to fully catch the story
This movie will, without a doubt, be praised highly at the academy awards for the 2001 year. Guy Pearce does an excellent job at portraying a completely self-reliant and confident man who has trained himself to be that way on account of losing his...

Pros: Original, intriguing, and well though out. Cons: Choppy, movie of the week type sets.
I have to admit, when I first watched this movie, I turned it off after ten minutes because I thought it was fragmented and cheap. Then, after a friend told me it was receiving critical acclaim, I decided to give it another chance. I'm so glad I did. The...

Pros: Great flashback. No detail missed. Cons: Thick headed people should avoid this one.
First off the title has the frget in it to go along with a major theme in this movie. The main character has no short term memory.
When I went to this movie I had never heard of it. I saw it in paper and went. I had heard the part about memory in...

Pros: Lots of Twists to keep you riveted. Cons: Kinda of like the Seinfeld meets SNL
Concept-wise, this movie is a lot like the episode of Seinfeld where the candy-bar heiress gets married in India and the Saturday Night Live character portrayed by Tom Hanks, "Mr. Short Term Memory." However, the similarities stop there.
The...

Pros: Engaging storyline, a fresh approach to the tired industry. unique. Cons: Movie could have been longer.
Very unique movie. How many times can you say that you'll enjoy a movie when you already know the ending?
No, don't worry, i'm not here to spoil your fun, but the movie does start at the end, the very end of the story.
What do i mean? Am i...

Pros: The plot! Oscar-worthy acting, writing,& directing. Smart, fresh, funny,&detailed. Cons: This movie is for people who like "thinking movies"
Few have heard about this movie, and that's a shame. Memento is very original, very detailed, and the plot is seamless. I can honestly say that I haven't seen a movie this well-made since Usual Suspects. Directed in a film-noir fashion, this film is a...

Pros: Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Cons: It was a bit redundant at first.
Whilst watching Memento's first few minutes, I remember thinking "my god this is going to be tedious". As the story kept showing us a scene, then showing the scene that led to the scene, but after about ten minutes I didn't notice at all. I was hooked....
